This is an OLD SCHOOL FANTASTIC place to eat! Do yourself a favor and stop by a place that has been doing it the same way for over 75yrs! I got a double cheese (which is two patties pressed together) and absolutely delicious! The hospitality here was second to none. They are super nice and take good care of you. They are famous for their pink lemonade that they make handmade and is almost like an icee but much better. Everything is made from scratch it seems even the sides like the cole slaw and potato slaw.

Hayden's is a local icon in good eating. I've been enjoying their food for over 50 years. My favorite is their barbecue sandwich with slaw and fries but I like everything else I have tried as well. I have given their bbq sauce as gifts to grateful friends and family!!

Despite its name this is a diner style sit-down restaurant off the main drag in a residential area. And, despite the World's Best BBQ sign over the front door, the pulled pork sandwich was very good. The mid-week lunch platter included the sandwich, French fries, and creamy Cole slaw. Pork was chopped, smoky and juicy on a toasted bun served southern style with Cole slaw over sweet BBQ sauce. Fries and slaw were satisfactory but the latter redundant since it topped the sandwich. The pink lemonade was sweet and tart due to the addition of cherry flavoring.

Double sword review for sure Maybe my expectations were set too high as this place has been here since 1948...I would for sure drive out of my way any day for the "BEST PINK LEMONADE "On the planet and they have it hands down!!!! I'm a addict for sure. But then we must decide about the food. We ordered a famous steak burger, it was like a good outside grill burger but small. The burger was the thickness of Mc'Ds cheeseburger and any ole bun. Nothing that would drive you out of the way. It was over 6.00 and you got choice of sides. I got tater tots. Same as freezer ones. Honey got , their famous " chopped barbecue ham with slaw" sandwich. This gets sadly no positive review , it had no flavor at all and when you add bar barbecue sauce which was a bottle on table. It was like eating sauce with a filler between bun. Very disappointed!!! He said awesome fries! And again loved Lemonade which we will go back for but will skip the grill as overpriced. Final word, the girls working there are as nice as anyone could ask for. Great service.

In town camping from Texas.. I did my research and checked reviews on all the local BBQ places. I was very hesitant on choosing this place after reading the reviews but decided to check it out anyways. Wish I would have tried a different place. Glad the BBQ in Texas is so much better. The pork was dry and had no taste. Best things to eat were toast and okra.. And the pink lemonade..

How could you not live this nostalgic place. The burgers are huge and fries are crisp. It's a must in the Bluff.

This place didn't make a good first impression. I ordered and paid for a double bacon steak burger to go and after I had already left I noticed it was a single patty. burger was perfectly cooked but, no flavor at all.

Great place to eat lunch! Prices seem a lil high but what ain't high these days! Service was amazing and the atmosphere from the ladies waiting on you is nothing but superb!

Great food with a small town vibe. Every time I am in town I like to go there for lunch!

Amazing local place. Food was awesome. Service outstanding!!! Made us feel like family. Worth the drive from Illinois for sure.
