Southland Casino Hotel

My soul reason for coming here was to partake in the buffet. I was looking for a place to gorge myself on food and get a good variety at the same time. But more on that later.This place has a massive parking lot that seems to be underutilized. Not only that, but it is totally confusing to get into the lot to park and if you are not paying attention you will miss the most convenient place to park. If you do this, you will have to make a loop around as it is a one way road that circles this space.I cannot speak on the hotel portion of this, but I can speak on the casino portion as I had to walk through here to get to where I was going. Best way to sum this up, lackluster.It is your typical casino with the setup. Video slots rule the floor, no windows, bombarded by noise, but I will say this, it was one of the most well lit casino floors I have been on ever. Ceilings were high so it didn't feel so claustrophobic. But it can feel like a maze to navigate at times. Simply finding the restrooms took me a minute, but I was able to make my way through.

My review is for the food. We had a free buffet from a QR code from the grizzlies game and the food was great. We came on all you can eat crab night. The staff were very attentive almost too attentive. They were very generous with the crab legs. We had free cocktail drink tickets, too.

This is a fun place to go for the weekend or if you are catching a early morning flight. It's close to the Memphis airport. I had no idea that it existed until my friend made reservations to stay there before a flight. The casino is very nice and our room was huge. The bad thing about our stay was that the hotel overbooked and we did not get the double bed room that we reserved. They never brought the roll-a-way up and my friend had to sleep on the kidney shaped sofa which was uncomfortable for her. Overall everything else was good.

I stand corrected. Someone cut the lock and stole items off one of our trucks. Luckily the casino has surveillance and identity trackers and they were able to identify the thief for us. West Memphis Police was helpful as well. Can't control thieves. We're still going to stay here till the job is done.

The rooms are great, the only drawback is you have to have your luggage searched, and go through a metal detector every time you goin and out.

Stopped here on a Sunday morning while heading out of town. There a couple ways in which I judge a casino - and I have been to a few. 1.) Cleanliness and decor - this place was obviously very new and the ceiling lights and decor was nice - tables were new and things were vibrant and colorful. 2.) Dealers - I played roulette and the lady - blonde was nice and talkative. However, upon asking to cash in a $5 chip for 2 $2.50 chips the blackjack dealer "couldn't do it in the middle of a game." As if they wouldn't let me buy in if I wanted to. Stupid and the can't be bothered attitude is exactly why casinos lose customers. Thanks to that interaction I wouldn't return. Plus $15 min roulette on a Sunday morning at 8am is a crime.

One of the worst service casinos I have ever been to. Went last night, Monday night 2/24/2025 and sat down at the Louisiana Stub table. About 15 minutes in to sitting there a cocktail waitress comes by, I order a drink, pay for the drink and don't see a cocktail waitress for another 2 hours. Never brought my drink and never gave my money back. Terrible place, will drive the extra way to Tunica next time for sure.

Whoever's idea it was for the lighting in the casino was an EPIC FAIL. The strip Led lights are enough to make me sick! I try to keep my head down and not look at them but every slot machine has a curved screen so it reflects the light. You check your phone, the stupid lights reflection is all over your screen. You CAN'T GET AWAY FROM THE ANNOYING LIGHTS. I had to get a break and go to the buffet for a while. I've been to Tunica a dozen times or more and Vegas and I've never been in a casino I couldn't stand. I'd rather take the drive to tunica next time. Buffet was awesome though. But I came to gamble not eat so this easily gets a 1 star.

Nice casino. Our room had no towels and the safe wasn't working, so we couldn't store anything.We went to eat at the restaurant on the smoking side, not realizing that people can smoke in the restaurant.Food was mediocre. We tried to eat quickly as there were 5 guys next to us all smoking cigars which ruined the meal .
