Southern reds is a gem in western Kentucky. The food is always tasty and portions are heaping. It may not appear gourmet but the taste and flavors are. The place is true definition of family dining.

Southern Red's is a best kept secret. I've never had a bad meal and I've ate here around 40 times. The ribeye, shrimp, fish, and BBQ are all my favorites. The people that work here are the kindest, most welcoming people you'll ever meet. Give this place a try... you won't regret it!

Now a staple on our to-go list. Call ahead and pick up or eat there. Love the addition of the picnic tables. Absolutely everything on the menu is great. Excellent stop if your our on your motorcycles and well worth the ride. Friendly staff and great prices. Only drawback is that they are only open Thursday through Saturday.

Walked into Southern Red's...finally think I figured out why it's called by that name...The two young boys wrestling on the floor behind the counter were as red headed as the rest...they reminded me of the two Smucker's boys in the commercial about preserves of the same name...I later got their names as Matthias and Noah...bus boys in training.I ordered a full slab of ribs...usually I find more meat that way...oh...fall off the bone sweetness with that smokey flavor...packed full of meat ...dropping off both ends of the platter!...( I had to take half the slab with me) rolls...coleslaw and corn nuggets that I won't order again...fried too hard outside and too mushy in the middle... like the grease was too hot.Loved this meal...will order the beans next time and I now know the current hours are 7:00 am to 9 pm Thursday...Friday and Saturday

Coming from Western NC, I'm a tough sell on this sort of place. I had the chopped bbq plate and thought it was alright. I wasn't that happy with the sauce. I did enjoy the okra and the slaw, so I'd definitely recommend those. I did notice that a lot of the folks I went with that were locals had the catfish, so that may be the move.Beware: this is the sweetest sweet tea on Earth.

If you are anywhere close to living near Pilot Oak, then you already know how good it is to eat at Southern Reds. If you are on 94 and find yourself between Murray and Fulton, nearing the weekend, you must stop and eat! They also have a wonderful breakfast!

What an awesome atmosphere! The food is phenomenal as well. This is a family owned ad operated restaurant! I only wish I could dine here every Saturday night! The BBQ is great. The owner makes his own sauce. It's the best I've ever had. The steaks are delicious. Be sure to add a skewer of the best grilled shrimp you can possibly get that far inland!

These are special people and great food! Even tho they were impacted by the tornado, they did everything and I mean everything to help the less fortunate!!! I adore these folks and love their BBQ and special sauce

Finally made it to Reds I hv been in the area a few years now and today was the day! And I anxiously counted down the hours of the day til dinner . Now make sure whomever drives knows the area I would've been lost my hubby got us there born and raised in the area . It was just as I was told a little spot if you blink you will miss it but you will see all the cars everywhere. I was packed but service was quick the had a good system the owner was very present and friendly really nice homegrown spot!! I loved everything about it!! The steaks where delicious
