Snider's Family Restaurant and BBQ

A great little hidden local restaurant with outstanding BBQ. Yes they have their own sauces but with good BBQ you don't need it and you really didn't need it with this. We had the 3 meat combo with two sides. I had smoked beans and a salad and my husband had corn and a salad. We had gator bites as an appetizer and yes it is alligator, a favorite of ours! The bites were big and tender and the breading was perfect. They were served with a ranch sauce and although it was good I would have loved to have them with a Cajun sweet and spicy sauce. The smoke on the meats were very nice and the turkey was so tender and moist. The burnt ends could have been a bit crispier but they were still very delicious. I ordered a fried pie and more gator bites for the road because the gator is a definite come back for. The pie was outstanding!!! Buttery flaky crust and perfect coconut custard inside.I highly recommend if your in the area to come check out this little treasure, you definitely won't leave hungry!!!The service was very nice and very attentive.They have outdoor seating but it was too chilly when we came.

The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the placement of their outdoor tables where we needed to eat with our dogs. But very few places here have any outdoor seating at all... Great food, wonderful service.

Okay, the beef brisket is amazing! Everything else is excellent-at least everything we've tried. Service is excellent, fast and friendly.

Be careful of their Monday fish special, it was so tough it was like a taffey pull. We bent it & it would not fall apart, two of us tried to pull it apart - no luck. Then the corn on the cob was dried so bad the kernels were not even touching & the butter would not melt it was disgusting. The pulled pork & brisket were both cold. There were 4 of us & all our meals were nasty., most went into a box for one lady's cat. Felt sorry for the waitress. Wish I'd taken a picture.

Food was not edible dry overcooked onions had skin left on them. Owner was rude and not at all accommodating. Will not go back or patron any of the other businesses they own in town.

Good food at good prices. I've liked everything except the pulled pork nachos. The smokehouse fries are amazing. I'd probably give it 5 stars for prices and food but the pulled pork nachos are literally the round nachos you get at a high school concession stand with the same yellow cheese that's liquid whether it's cold or not. It's actually bad. Macncheese also is subpar. Smokehouse fries use white queso which is great! Can't believe one can be awesome and the other rubbish.
