Side Porch Steak House

Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. The croutons were what we had heard about and they lived up to the hype! The service was fantastic and the place is Military friendly with a kind discount. The St Patrick's day seasonal drink was almost too easy to drink! Yum!

Hiya folks! Tonight, we decided to hit one of the neighborhood joints we were told about. This place used to be someone's house that they converted into a restaurant (so I was told). Honestly, I didn't do my research. More to the point, it's a nice family type atmosphere, there's a bar where you can sit and have libations while you wait on your table. Be advised... make a reservation cuz sat evenings this place is BUSY! We were seated right away. Our server,Liam, greeted us with a warm smile and dropped a basket of delicious bread before taking our orders. Warm croutons with a crispy crust, soft and buttery in the middle, yum! We both chose the bacon wrapped filet (8 and 12oz, respectively )a baked potato, loaded baked potato, and fried mushroom appetizer along with a ceasar salad. The food came out probably in under 10 minutes, everything coming out just right. The fried shrooms were nice and golden brown, juicy. The salad was fresh, with just enough dressing. The steaks were supposed to have been cooked medium rare, and they were spot on! There was a nice thick slice of bacon wrapped around the juicy, sexy looking steak. The meal was delicious, albeit the plating was, eh, but hey, you're in a family environment, right? The prices were about par with good steak houses. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the young ladies at the front. They were very friendly and pleasant, except for the gum chewing. I may be nitpicking, but as hostesses, I don't think that's appropriate. I point this out in any establishment I'm in, whether it's the Home Depot, Kroger, or the gas station. If you have to greet, speak with the public or customers, don't have a wad of anything in your mouth. It really takes you and the establishment down a notch.That being said, cudos to the chefs and cooks in the back, job well done. It was one of the better steaks I've had in a long time.

Man looks can be deceiving. Service was awesome the ambience was so cute and welcoming oh but the food. This place came highly rated and we were excited to give it a try. The pricing was very reasonable that's why I'm not too upset that the food didn't meet the hype both of our steaks lacked seasoning of any kind and we both requested medium it taste so dry and crumbled as you continue to chew it. We tried adding steak sauce, salt, pepper and still didn't help the taste of this food. The croutons were the star of this show tonight. We won't be back unfortunately the first impression was a lasting one. They did say their regular cook was off and maybe that's why it turned out bad‍

Always a good time and good food at Side Porch. Employees are nice, I'm always seated quickly and I always make a reservation. The place is small but they handle the crowd well. Ample parking, no take out orders, yeast rolls, Frost desserts, what's not to love about this Bartlett gem? I'm a repeat customer. One star removed because this visit the steak lacked flavored and was cooked medium well vs medium.

Porterhouse, grilled shrimp and grill pork chop were delicious! Service was good. Plan ahead and make reservations. Seldom do they have availability for walk-ins.

If you are in the Bartlett area and you want a great steak, great prices and excellent service with a home town feel, look no further. Go ahead and pass up the chains and franchises and support local. I even checked it out multiple times, to be sure and all was consistent ! Steaks cooked as ordered on each occasion. Heather L was our server and she was wonderful, attentive and super knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The dining experience here feels very homey and clean, everyone is kind and happy to serve you. The pickles and onion rings were great starter choices, but if you want something a bit lighter.. get the cowboy caviar, it's excellent. The serving sizes here are big and so I don't think you'll leave hungry.

Celebrated my birthday here Tuesday evening. Great fun with friends. They are remodeling so there is a lot of construction. There is parking but you have to maneuver around the wood and other building items. Started off an order of onion rings. Very fresh and crispy. We did share at the table. The basket of croutons with butter served before dinner was to DIE for. So good! I could have eaten those only and been happy. We had different beverages. I had the unsweetened tea. It was okay. My friends had diet beverages. I ordered the steak salad with Italian dressing. The steak was prepared rare and had some fat on it. It was a 6 oz ribeye. The salad was an iceberg mix with carrots and purple cabbage. I prefer a romaine or spring mix. It was alright. I took most of it since I got full on the appetizers. The service was excellent. Our server was kind and courteous and very helpful. She was attentive and fast with our orders. She checked on us from time to time. I may cone back to try other dishes or just order the croutons. Yum!

Sooo yummy! The flavor was amazing in the filet, chicken, and shrimp. I'm pretty sure all the filets have a piece of bacon wrapped around the base, which adds a ton of flavor but be wary that it's there even if the menu doesn't say it. Our server Harley was an angel and I'd for sure request her next time!! :)Weird compliant - the lighting is super extreme. Feels like I'm in a furniture store or something. Overall great experience and I'd def be back!

Great little spot that I have driven past for years. I kept hearing about the croutons so I decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. The staff was professional and courteous. I ordered my steak medium and it was perfect. The croutons lived up to the hype and the sweet tea was in point. I'll definitely go back. I suggest making a reservation for faster seating.

Great Service staff and the Food was excellent. They also allow you to bring your own wine for a reasonable cost
