Good club sandwich made with a slice of ham, not deli ham. I declined the upgrade for fries, mistakenly assuming that the plate would include chips. My mistake.The lunch buffet looked interesting, but they were tearing it down when I arrived (1PM).Otherwise; swift, attentive service. Clean restroom. Parking lot is just a tad cramped.Would I return? Yes.

The food the customer service not to mention the prices is wonderful!!! I haven't tried anything other than the fried fish. I can't order anything else because I love their fish so much!!! What amazes me is that the fish is not greasy!! It has a crunch and then all that softness of white meat!!! I wish I was there to get some right now. Ok so when you get finished with your food now it's desert time. They have some of the best homemade pies this side of the Mississippi River!! They have lemon ice box, chocolate and my personal favorite coconut!!! They all are delicious. If you haven't tried Shirley's you got to try it!!!

This place certainly doesn't deserve the four- and five-star ratings I have seen on other sites. I had lunch there today, the country fried steak much ballyhooed elsewhere. It was marginal, at best. The lettuce on the salad bar looked at least a day old. Likewise, the baked potato was at least that old; it was not white like a fresh baked potato but yellowing.Save your time and money. Eat elsewhere.

My open faced roast beef consisted of roast beef lunch meat laid over toast and drowned in bland brown gravy. Absolutely disgusting.My wife's country fried steak was basically a cheap frozen beaded patty. Her meal was not even hot. The corn on the comb looked like it had been laying out at Panama City Beach for an entire summer without sun screen. I typically don't get on yelp and give reviews but I don't want anyone wasting their money. I gave it one star because it makes you. NASTY!!!But the staff was friendly...they just can't cook.Y'all pray for us.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would!! I have lived in Ripley my whole life so I have been eating at Shirley's since I could remember! I never had a problem in the past but recently it has gone completely down hill!! My husband and I eat here faithfully EVERY week and for the past at least 2 months every time something is wrong with our order. EVERY TIME!! Either something is left out, if they're out of something why won't call and tell us they'll just give us what they want to give us, and they've even gave my order to another person and when the person realized and came back, they still tried to give it to me from the persons hands!! That alone should have made me stop going there but I didn't. That was my mistake!! I went Wednesday night and the customer service was absolutely HORRIBLE from not only the waitresses but the owner herself!! They were completely rude!! I've never once been rude to them even after continuing to mess my order up!! Not once! As I walk in, one of the waitresses is standing at the counter on the customer side where you pay. As I go to pay and they give me my food, she asked me if I need a bag. I look confused like "why wouldn't I need a bag? I have 2 boxes plus I'm getting a salad" and I didn't understand why she was asking me that anyways considering she wasn't the one taking care of me. So I said "yeah" and she says something under her breath and walk off. I went to go fix my salad that came with my meal and as soon as I'm walking over to the salad bar, Shirley tells one of the girls to go stock up on everything that I needed. Everything she told her to take was at least still half way filled but I didn't think anything of it. After standing and waiting at the salad bar for 10 minutes, without anyone coming to ask me if I needed help or anything, they finally bring it back out without apologizing for my wait or even acknowledging the fact that I was standing there! The owner watched me like a hawk as I fixed my salad like she thought I was going to run off with the entire bar! Not to mention the owner was going around to each table speaking to every customer and engaging with them but never once said anything to me and she was standing literally right beside me staring at me! I will NEVER give those people any more of my money!!!! The food is mediocre at best! Nothing special!!!!! It is NO EXCUSE for how they treated me, a paying customer just like everyone else. It's pathetic and COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. As for the owner, it's 2023. Treating people differently because of the color of their skin SHOULD have stopped years ago if you didn't realize!
