Just a quick share if someone is looking to check out Christmas lights, starry nights was a good display. The boys enjoyed patronizing donations go to the Shelby Farms Park -by the way, it is drive-through viewing of Christmas lights and there is an area to pull over if one would like to purchase hot chocolate, apple cider coffee, cookies, and cinnamon strudel

The park is amazingly beautiful. There's horseback riding, fishing, walking, and running trails if you use to utilize them. There's so much to do, or maybe you'd just like to enjoy the scenery itself. The colorful leaves on the different trees.

The best place in Memphis to go for a jog or a bike ride. There are forested trails and lakes and things to look at. It's peaceful, quiet but there are enough people there that you don't feel isolated either. There is also plenty of free public parking and restrooms nearby near the First Horizon Foundation Visitor Center. There's even a cool Buffalo mannequin that you could take a photo with. Behind that center is a nice view of small lake. If you get there early enough, they have yoga class there and these comfortable chairs that you can sit on in a shaded space. My go to place to go for runs. My favorite trail is the "Tour de Wolfe."

Currently checking out the Water Lantern Festival. Thanks Yelp for the free tickets! It is a nice day with the sun setting soon. Need to sit down and create my lantern. We will release the lanterns this evening at sunset. Such a fun event!!

This is a review about the Chickasaw Trail. Lots of wildlife to see if you're early (or late I suppose) in the day. I did about 3 miles and saw 6 deer, one of which was walking along next to the trail (it's a paved trail btw) in the grass. The deer are very used to humans. So, good for photo opportunities but overall I think it's bad when deer get used to humans. Lots of different plants/trees/flowers if you're into that kind of thing. Not all the trail is in shade so on a hot day you're gonna be getting some sun. Everyone I met along the trail was friendly and it's wide enough for people to pass and nobody gets crowded off. There are bikers too so keep your head on a swivel.

I love this place. After a stressful day, this is my go-to place. Hanging out with the wildlife (deers) is so relaxing. I normally stay until the sunset. This is the perfect place to meet with your friends with no distractions. See, social media has too much of this millennial time. Get out the house and enjoy some

I've got to say, "Shelby Farms Park" has got to be one of the most beautiful man-made public parks that I've ever visited. Located in the eastern part of Memphis and just south of I-40, this park is a whopping 4,500 acres which happens to be one of the largest urban parks in the United States. Additionally, there are more than 40 miles of trails, all suitable for walking, jogging, and biking. There are four lakes located within this park; Chickasaw, Pine, Beaver, & Patriot which also offers fishing.I had the opportunity to visit this park for the first time during the late afternoon of Saturday 9/25/2021 at around 5:30pm. This park offers a very sizable parking lot (which does get very packed during peak hours). This park has the advantage of carrying stables that are suitable for horseback riding, a rental area for kayaks & canoes, and more adventurous activities including ziplining, axe throwing, paintball, and laser tag. What makes this park special is that it is suitable for all ages and pets are welcome. During my visit, I witnessed large families enjoying picnics as there is a very large grass area while many kids had fun in the great outdoors as well as Woodland Discovery Playground and on the hot summer days, they can cool off at Water Play Sprayground. Another big advantage is that you could rent a space for a special event. If you want to plan a birthday party, wedding, graduation, anniversary, meeting, festival, or gala, Shelby Farms will have you covered. Finally, if all this fun gets your appetite going, this place has you covered. In addition to the vending machines for quick snacks, they have food trucks on weekend days. If you are interested more in the restaurant dining experience, Shelby Farms is partnered up with two eateries, "Cheffie's (which offers salads, soups, & sandwiches) and "Coastal Fish Company" (which has some amazing Southern styled seafood. Overall, everything located within this park was well planned and well executed. All in all, "Shelby Farms Park" is one of the most complete (and clean) public parks that I've ever been to. The views are also very impressive as I was able to take a lot of amazing photos capturing the sunset on an early autumn afternoon. There is even a couple of large swings overlooking the lake; all you need is some sweet tea and you're good to go. When you factor in all these amazing things at this very large and spacious park, they hit all the high notes. My rating, a unanimous five stars.
