Legit, authentic Mexican food. It is in a low traffic strip mall. And doesn't look like much from the outside but definitely worth checking out. The salsa is pretty good but if you try the guacapico you might not want any more salsa. It is fresh avocado with tomato, onion, Cilantro and is so good. The owner sat right down at the table with me. Told me his background, talked about family, brought out his special hot sauce for me to try, it was really good with smoky roasted peppers in it. I was caught between the enchilada supreme and the poblano pepper. He told me if I like poblano I needed to try it here. I have never had a poblano i could cut with just a fork until now. This is probably one of the best Mexican places i have ever been to.

Got it on new years best restaurant experience I've experienced in years. The food really was authentic 10/10 tastes and time for it. A little pricey compared to your every around the corner Mexican restaurant but totally worth the price. The dessert was excellent! Will be go to Mexican restaurant from now on!

Little hole in the wall with great food and rich flavors! Highly recommend if you are in the area. The best pico guac!

The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is clean and inviting. The food is absolutely delicious! The chorizo will melt in your mouth! I recommend trying this restaurant if you haven't already! 10/10!!

Lovely owner who came and greeted us, but that didn't help with the quality of the food. It was really salty and they use cheap ingredients. They even shorted me one enchilada on a three enchilada platter. Cost $45 for two draft beers (albeit large) and two entrées. One enchilada and one stuffed poblano entrée. The cheese was so inferior that I scraped it off. The ambiance wasn't great either. I'm all about a business man who builds his way up from busboy to owner, but I was a bit disappointed in quality vs cost.

The food and service is amazing! Sergio makes sure everything is tip top. I've been here several times and nothing has disappointed. Don't come here if you are afraid of flavor though.

A perfectly delightful experience for your taste buds! My husband discovered this gem on Facebook and so glad we decided to try it out on a recent trip to the Quad Cities. We went there for lunch and met Sergio who was very personable and is an excellent chef. He's been in the restaurant business for over 25 years and comes from the Mobile area. He recommended the Shrimp and Grits which is what I got. There were probably at least a dozen large shrimp in a large bowl of creamy, cheesy, flavorful grits. Just the right amount of spice. I don't care for spicy food. I couldn't eat all of it after eating a lot of their delicious freshly-made tortilla chips and probably the best salsa I've ever had. We also got a small bowl of queso dip but I opted for the salsa and my husband ate the queso. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos with dipping sauce, rice and charro beans. Everything we had was authentic and homemade. We ordered some churros with some chocolate sauce drizzled over them. Sergio made some homemade guacamole for a take-out order and made a little extra for us to try. It was pretty amazing. My husband doesn't even like guacamole and he said it was better than the salsa! We told Sergio that we would be back, Lord willing. Try it out. You won't be disappointed.
