We stopped by for a quick lunch and were excited for some sushi. The lunch specials looked like pretty good deals, with good portions. We ordered at the counter, and they brought out the food to us.- Sushi and sashimi combo (3.5/5): I love sashimi. You can really tell the quality of the fish. The yellowtail and tuna were pretty chewy, but didn't taste bad. The salmon was the best by far. Spicy tuna roll was good.- 3 roll combo (4/5): We got the Alaskan roll, yellowtail jalapeño roll, crunchy spicy salmon roll. Alaskan roll tasted fresh; I love the salmon avocado combo. Yellowtail jalapeño was too much pepper/crunch and not enough fish. Crunchy spicy salmon was really yummy, good flavors and crunch.

If 3.5 was an option, that's what I'd give my first experience at Sen Sushi & Hibachi Grill. Set your expectations firmly there and you won't be disappointed when you make the trip here! I feel it's a solid place to get a quick fix for fresh sushi and hibachi. Sen gives the vibe of a "whole in the wall" type of place but NOT in a way where you question if the food is safe. Just no frills here. For example, we got miso soup & ginger salad before our food came out. Both items came out in disposable dishes. (I suspect they mostly operate to-go!) The salad was decent as was the dressing and my husband and I both found the miso soup lacking. Our sushi (crunchy crab roll) was fresh and tasted great. Again, no frills type of roll, but it was decent!!! We both ordered the terriyaki salmon and were told they were out and the only fish on hand was currently white fish. We opted for terriyaki chicken and the quality on the meat was there! Super tender and the teriyaki glaze was so delicious. The rice was great but the grilled veggies weren't my favorite. The major vegetable in the mix was a green pepper and it just didn't go well with the dish in my opinion. It's not been my favorite place for sushi and hibachi in town and it hasn't been my least favorite either. I'll be back for sure to see how I feel about it and see whether this rating changes for me. Let me also add the people working were kind and to the point. Again, no frills. No muss. Also notable is they have canned or bottled beverages for purchase. **Full disclosure this is my second time coming here. The first time we arrived 45 minutes before closing and were told they were closing early. This was my first visit where I actually got food!**

We are traveling cross country and always try and find a nice little spot for dinner. Well this was definitely it. The service was prompt, friendly, and precise. The food was absolutely delicious, incredibly affordable and huge portions. I was heartbroken because we really couldn't take food with us and we had a decent amount left over. I highly recommend stopping by the next time you're in the mood for quality sushi or hibachi.

If you live in Arlington and you get a craving for some Asian cuisine....you really need look no further than Sen.Though they're truly better suited for take out, the atmosphere in the dining area is ten times nicer than Panda China (their competition around the corner) and Sen's food is a hundred times better as well. For the longest time there really wasn't anywhere to get Asian food in Arlington. The Panda China restaurant was just not good and so it left many to have to drive into Bartlett or Cordova. So, in all, you can't go wrong grabbing a bite from Sen. Great food, nice atmosphere, and friendly, smiling faces. They get the food out to you quick and there's a ton to choose from.I'll do the sushi every other time I drop in...their sushi is made fresh to order. My "go to" when I'm not doing sushi? The Chicken Teriyaki with a side of pot stickers (Gyoza/dumplings). And here's a tip...they load you down with food. Two can easily split a dinner. My wife and I do that and just replace the soup with a second House salad.

The worst!! Soup has zero flavor, hibachi chicken was bland and dry. Steak had no seasoning at all and the sushi was horrid. We tried this place three times over the first year when we moved to Arlington. Each time the food was worse than the last until the last time it was completely inedible and we threw it all in the garbage. That was it. They may have improved since covid but I'm not willing to take that risk!

This place is a hidden Gem. My brother and I stopped in to eat on the way back from Jackson and ate lunch. The rice, gyoza, and sushi was amazing. It's a small family ran business that really takes pride in their food. They are super friendly and the food was amazing. We loved this place and would recommend this to anyone.
