So this was my first time trying Sekisui. I went right when they opened at 11:30. I wanted something light so I got the teriyaki skewers and a side of steamed rice. So simple but the skewers were so well seasoned and I love when they pair oranges with teriyaki it compliments it so well!

I love Sekisui! I go there for my birthday dinners and any time I am asked were to go for dinner. I love the kids sushi combo but the might up charge for it it someone older than 12 is getting it, but so worth it. The sushi combo also is such a great amount of food for the price you are paying, I am always full after eating it. Great for any age and the people they are always so kind.

We went there for dinner tonight right before they open at 5:00 pm. Was told we could sit wherever. Only 2Waitress in the restaurant and one was in training. We came for their Early Bird menu. Come to find out they don't have that anymore.Ended up getting sushi - it was meh. We didn't feel like it was a great experience. I remember the days of Jimmy Ishi hiring better waiters and not just someone off the street. Our sushi was decent -- not good. Not sure we will be back. With so many other restaurants to give our money to this Sekisui missed the mark.

Our first and last time. The chicken looked ~and tasted~ like it had been sitting in a boiler for hours, and the bag salad they put in a box was half yellow with wilt. The prices were fine, but I'd rather pay more for edible food

Why is East the only Sekisui restaurant that makes delicious sushi rolls? I do not understand why midtown and Pacific Rim feel the need to make rolls that are huge balls of rice. The kitchen at East was closed tonight, and we cannot eat at PR so we made the longer drive to midtown hoping it would be as good as East. Sekisui East is delicious, but all of the other ones are terrible.

Enjoy coming here if you want roaches in your food. Even after pointing it out to a server there they grabbed the bucket with the roach and never came back or said anything to me. Must be something they're used to seeing.

A group of about 6 of us went on a Friday about 5:30pm. First of all, we wanted to sit outside but their patio consisted of 2 picnic tables. No thank you. Three of our party got their dinner, the others waited and waited and waited. While the first 3 were already done with their dinners, the other 3 are just getting theirs. The kitchen was incredibly slow or short staffed or something. When we questioned the server, his response was "yeah, I know, but I'm not cooking." No apology, or "what can I do to help". The restaurant itself was dirty and greasy. We were not comfortable there at all. This famous and much liked hole in the wall back in the day was a huge disappointment.
