Ruby Sunshine is like a little slice of New Orleans right in Franklin, and for anyone who's a fan of Ruby Slipper, this place will hit you right in the nostalgia. Sure, they don't do the $4 doubles (sigh), but they more than make up for it with a menu that packs a serious punch. The Trifecta is a classic for a reason--simple, reliable, and delicious. But the real standout? The spicy and sweet chicken and French toast. That fry on the French toast? Crunchy enough to be ASMR-worthy. Seriously, someone needs to mic that up.The orange juice is extra pulpy (love it or hate it, I'm Team Pulp), and all of this was delivered with a smile by Kelly, who was an absolute gem of a server. Pro tip: bring a second stomach because you're going to want to try everything.Ruby Sunshine doesn't just serve breakfast--it serves memories, comfort, and a little taste of home. Don't miss it.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon- it was 2:45 and we didn't know they closed at 3! We even asked the hostess as she sat us if it was ok and she kind of gave as a stink face and shrugged her shoulders!!! So for that reason alone is why they will receive only 4-stars.Otherwise, I ordered a spicy vanilla latte that was delicious but for the price, the mug could have been a little larger ($5.75 I believe) But the highlight was the beignets!!! They were served with a blueberry lemon curd that was scrumptious! My husband had the chicken sandwich with tots and he said it was solid. (I did taste a couple of tots and they were yummy)Overall, I would not hesitate coming back

With 25 locations across six states, this post-Katrina, breakfast/brunch eatery founded in New Orleans serves up good southern cooking and a taste of Louisiana. From beignets and bayou shrimp to fried green tomatoes and biscuits, they've got every aspect of southern cuisine covered here.ProsThe French toast bites are very good, the biscuits are dense and bready, and the loaded biscuits are overflowing with delicious ingredients. The fried chicken in any capacity (plain, hot, or on a biscuit) is delicious. And a side of chorizo may just be the most exceptional thing on the entire menu!ConsThe hollandaise on the Eggs Benedict isn't the typical tangy, flavorful hollandaise. It's rather bland. The pork tasso cream sauce, a Cajun specialty, also wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped. And the Bayou Shrimp biscuit isn't very good at all.

This is a dependable spot for a good breakfast with friendly service, with a super convenient location right on the Main Street square in downtown Franklin. They have pretty much all your normal breakfast fare, along with (of course) some options that skew Southern. There are also some unique and tasty options to choose from. I've had a good experience every time I've visited.

Asked for scrambled eggs and was given a powdered mix. Even with a sign on the table implying eggs had upcharge due to egg flu I was still given a powdered mix and had to ask for real eggs.

Visited on a Sunday morning ~9 a.m. and were seated immediately. Their CREAMY VANILLA SPICED LATTE was so good we ordered another. And the "pork tasso cream sauce" that comes with the Chicken St. Charles is to die for. Will be back to try more menu items!

We ate here for a Saturday lunch. The place was packed. The food was good, but I gave a 4 star because it took about 40 minutes for the food to come out. It was Very busy. I do think this is a good breakfast/ brunch spot. Everything we tried was good except my wife said the fried green tomato on her Benedict was mushy. We did enjoy our visit overall. They have a good selection of menu items and some alcoholic breakfast drinks along with some different coffee drinks. Downtown Franklin does have some street parking and parking garages. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Our big (8) family ordered all over the menu and didn't land on a dish that disappoints! The waitress was knowledgeable, the portions were plenteous, and the vibe was fresh.
