Route 64 Grill

I'm doing this specifically for onion rings. These are the best rings I've ever had. Am I an onion ring aficionado? No. But I can say these were life changing. The batter wasn't too much, was too soft or too crunchy. The fry was perfect. Go here if for no other reason than the rings.Onion rings.

If you drive too fast you will miss this place, so I always remember that it is next to the water on the other side of the broad I am going through town. We found this place as soon as we drove through the area and someone brought it to work. The 64 size burgers are huge! They are consistently juicy and delicious. The fries portion could be bigger, but they offer spicy and regular fries. I have tried the phill steak and cheese as well it is a bit more flavored possibly a bit too much salt, but it has a good flavor. They cheese, however I think, could be better. I'm not a cheese person, so I was expecting the bread to be a bit chewy but it was soft like a hotdog bun. My next thing to try is the milkshakes and dessert. Not every day you see blackberry pie on a menu. The driveway is a bit of an obstacle course, but I saw where to are making repairs, soon. I recommend the burgers, so far.

Excellent breakfast. My friend and I started meeting here every other week for breakfast. The bacon is wonderful! The eggs are always perfect and their sausage gravy and biscuits are yummy. The people are friendly, busy but kind. As far as the customers go, it's an old hometown feeling where everyone greets each other, and when someone gets up to get coffee they ask, "Anyone need any coffee?"

Good American grill style food. We absolutely enjoy lunch here. Burgers, fries & fish are all tasty.

This is my favorite place to eat!! They have great food and the staff is friendly!! The one thing that I can say is that they could do better at remembering the condiments and silverware packs!! But all in all an awesome place to eat and great food depending on if it's the week or weekends!!

I went today and order a fish plate with two sides only got one side and when I called to let them know that it was one side. I was hung up on; then I callied back and was told bring your plate back and let them see. I paid too much money to lie about what I didn't get $14 and change is too much money to spend on a plate to lie about what I didn't get. I will not recommend anyone to do business with them. I guess when you have a bad day you take it out on paying cus timer. It will be a cold day in hell before I eat there again. Posted by Yolanda

Driving through Bolivar we were looking for a nice little diner for a late Sunday breakfast and Route 64 was just what we wanted. Customers order at the counter, pick from two seating areas (three sets of table and chairs, three comfy booths, a separate room with about ten of the harder seating booths). We waited about 10-15 minutes which was fine because the food was delicious. Don't plan on staying long in the bathroom, which are makeshift rooms in a shed behind the diner, very small, and the men's toilet is practically under the sink. But it's actually charming.

Went to route 64 today and got three meals two 64 cheeseburger and one chicken strip meal. I told the lady everything that I wanted. I was told that a drink didn't come with one of the meals so I told her to go head on and add the drink. She put my order in and my total was $32.63 something went wrong while she was putting the information in so she had to redo my order. Put in mind she had already took the ticket to the back so she asked me what did I ask for and did I order two or three season fries I told her it was three season fries again she didn't understand what I had told her. So she took it up on herself to go to the back and pick up the ticket to see what was on it. She asked another girl about the computer system what did she do wrong because my order came up to be $29. So she canceled the order out and did it again it came up to be $38 and I asked a question why was it higher than it was before she goes to say it's because of the fries they are seasoned I am like so what did you do because that ain't the first price you gave me. So I went on and waited for my food. She comes with our food we only have two full meals and a sandwich and when I asked about the other meal she was like you didn't ask for fries and I'm like I did ask for fries with that other Burger she was like no you didn't I'm like yes I did I told her this is not professional and if fries doesn't come with a meal it needs to be posted saying that it doesn't come with it the meal and not let people assume that it comes with a fry and drink. I told her this is not right because my price done went up then turn around I don't even have a full meal and you look at me like I'm stupid and slow. I told them it's okay don't worry about it because I know how to do business and what you all are doing is not business at all just know that you have lost three customers I will not be back. So I talked to a lady that I know used to work there she was coming in and I asked her why is it that they have changed things and they do not have it on the board? She stated that she is not sure why they do not have it on the board that things has changed. I told the lady I understand things are going up I get that but what I don't understand is why is it that someone has to pay $9 for a burger when you can go to the grocery store and buy a family pack for that price. I am not pleased with what happened at all. You are never supposed to submit your customer leave unsatisfied you are supposed to make sure that your customers are satisfied when they leave out that door. Just because a person may not look up to the part or you think they don't know nothing because of the way that they look just know that you came across the right one because I am very qualified and I know my business and I know what you have trained these people to do is not right. All I got to say is you need to train your people how to set aside their customers when something isn't right. I'm not talking about those people that comes in day after day complaining about this that in the other just to get a free meal I'm talking about the ones that come in and enjoyed visiting because they like coming down there because of the people in the food but now that you have these new people and you have one that's down there with an attitude will drive all your customers away. But like I said you have lost three customers I would not be back and I don't like the way that business was handled.

I stop here from time to time when I'm in town. Something's changed the last year. No smiling friendly greetings. Chicken nuggets look like and taste like a cheap tv dinner. The television was streaming some sort of silly gaming videos and dropping "F" bombs. Not family friendly. With all sincerity, management better get a grip on this or they will not be there much longer. Sad.....so much potentia.

The food is really good. At least the burgers and fries. That's all I've tried. It's a very small, quaint, little Cafe. It's not a fast food restaurant but that's why it's fresh and its worth the wait.
