While sitting at the bar I ordered an appetizer which was suggested by the bartender. Crab cakes. Oh they were good. Fresh not frozen. Nicely made and very good. I also really liked the sauces served with it. I will say I was impressed with the pickled green tomatoes served with it. But that may just be me. I recommend them to anyone wanting to have a good appetizer while staying at the hotel.

Decent food. I had the breakfast buffet that was to include an omelette station but didn't, however my gracious server, Pat, was able to get me one that was very tasty. Pastries were dry like they have been sitting out a couple of days in a row. View was nice, especially on a rainy morning looking out at the fountain. I also ordered a wedge salad that took 30 mins to prepare which I thought was a long time since nothing had to be cooked. Service is great and prices are reasonable. If the weather was not as bad I would have ventured out and tried some of Memphis' delicious restaurants instead of eating at the hotel. Overall, it is an average hotel restaurant.

I had a really pleasant experience at Rook's for breakfast during my stay in Memphis. The prices were reasonable, the staff was tremendously friendly, and the food was good. I didn't get anything intricate, just did the normal breakfast buffet. I will say though, I haven't had their dinner, but the restaurant manager was explaining to me that they have a whole new dinner menu coming out soon. Looking forward to trying it on my next stay.FYI - this IS in the bottom of the Hilton Memphis. Just park normally outside, go in through the lobby, and you'll see some stairs to your left. Really nice on a summer morning to watch the geese that are nesting next to the windows overlooking their pond. Enjoy!

Located under the Hilton Hotel. The service was good but bring a sweater! It gets a bit chilly down there.I ordered the seafood bisque which was tasty but it was a hint saltier than I would like. I also ordered the Shrimp Mango Salad which was mediocre. The prices weren't the best but for a last minute dinner downstairs, it would have to do.

Great food but SLOW and FREEZING. Bring a blanket. It is in the Hilton so they have a captured audience. I didn't feel like leaving the hotel after working so I ate here two nights in a row. Food was always fabulous, of course overpriced because it is in the hotel so to be expected. I ordered a Filet Steak and it was amazing and cooked perfect. Service was perfect but it was annoying to hear the phone ringing non stop as they took room service orders. Perhaps re-think that the hostess does that and is aimed at the dining area. Bring a blanket it was freezing. They tried to make it warmer but with no luck. That was the first night. The second night I brought co-workers and I grabbed every coat and sweater I had in my room and told them to do so, we bulked up and threw the extras over our legs and still froze...management you need to fix that. Service was great, staff was great, food was great. Just cold and slow as I could see the restaurant was empty but they were obviously serving a ton of room service customers. Maybe order in your room where you can control the temperature and get food faster. I have ordered at the bar on the main lobby level and you can eat there with a better temperature but the bartender leaves to get the food and then leaves everyone at the bar without service for 10 minutes. Then you're the bad guy...another staffer to run food upstairs and take room service orders may help with this problem.

The food was subpar, not fresh and presentation off. The service was worse. The servers and cooks were in the back being obnoxiously loud. I was there 8 minutes before I was served in an empty restaurant. The hostess was the most attentive person there. Very disappointing, never coming back. Hilton- do better.

Had the Ribeye with potato croquet and roasted Brussels sprouts. EXCELLENT! Quality food and wonderful service. Not a typical Hotel restaurant by any means. Give it a chance & you won't regret it.

A hidden gem of a place for lunch or breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. Definitely check this place out.

This a place you may have never heard of or seen. They are cranking out southern classics perfectly. Especially on Fridays. They have all you can eat fried chicken and real catfish. The service was purely Southern and Memphis, which means great. If Ms. Pat is your server you will be taken care of very well.

We went here for dinner late one evening a couple weeks ago. We did not have much of a choice, as our flight had been delayed and we were too tired to look for something else decent and open late nearby. The food wasn't bad, but it was way overpriced (even for a hotel). Like the other reviewer said, it was too cold in the restaurant. Then.....breakfast. This was my big mistake. I thought I'd grab a quick bite here before going to the office. The food was probably ok, but there was a roach on the cover over the grits, and it was even more overpriced than dinner. I didn't go back there the rest of the week.
