The Riverside Welcome Center is set on the banks of the Mississippi River overlooking the Mud Island Marina. Traveling from Arkansas on I40, Riverside Drive is the 1st Exit sign you will see as you cross the Hernando de Soto Bridge. There is Complimentary but Limited Parking, Restrooms, Drink & Snack Machines. Inside are photo-worthy displays depicting Memphis History & Attractions. Larger-than-life bronze statues of Elvis Presley & BB King. Outdoor Speakers play the Memphis Blues. I like to watch the canine training to the North, with a view beyond of Bass Pro Shops (in the Pyramid building). Way to the South you can see the outline of the 1917 Harahan Bridge, which now boasts the Big River Crossing Boardwalk. Photo ops of the Memphis Skyline & the Hernando de Soto Bridge. "Kalihari" Sunset &/or Evening when all the lights are on are prime times. One of my photos shows a red Cable Car, part of the Monorail that runs from Front St. to the Mud Island River Park.
