Without a doubt the best catfish on the planet. You won't find anything like it anywhere.

Cute little place, right on the river. The catfish is amazing, jalapeño hush puppies are nice and moist, the baked potato was cooked perfect and I love their vinegar slaw! The young lady who waited on us was friendly, polite, efficient and just very sweet! They are only open on Friday and Saturday from 11-8.

I have came to this restaurant with my family since I was young. We have tried all of them down by the river and this is where you go for great fish! They have a decent kids menu and the desserts are ok but the catfish is the best!

Absolutely the the best fish anywhere. Possibly the only restaurant left that still serves true fresh Tennessee River Catfish . . . not the frozen pond catfish you'll find in most restaurants. They catch their own fish right out of the nearby Tennessee River and hold them in a nearby spring-fed creek so you're getting not only the freshest fish, but also the cleanest catfish anywhere. You won't find a better tasting catfish anywhere . . . I guar-on-tee!

Only open a couple days a week. You need to call ahead of time to ensure it is open. If your shirt has sleeves, your over dressed. Owned and operated by a fisherman who catches what he serves the Rivershack is right on the Tennessee River, but only has a view of an industrial area. It does not matter because the restaurant has only one window to look out of and the shades are always closed. Catfish is fresh everything else is frozen. Keep in mind "everything else" is very limited (Burgers, chicken fingers and maybe a hot dog) If you don't want catfish go somewhere else. But if your in the mood for Tennessee River catfish, this is the place to go.

Best catfish anywhere. The owner catches and cleans them. Trust me this is the best catfish joint you'll ever find. Only drawback is it's hard to get a seat!!!

Hard to find good catfish anymore,well we did and love it.Just wish I could get more fiddlers there.Highly recommend.

The food is slow to arrive at the table, but it is so good. It is worth the wait. The waitresses never stop moving and never stop smiling very pleasant people.

This is my favorite place to eat when I visit my parents. The food is great and the portions are large. The prices are great also for the amount of food you receive. I love the catfish and jalapeño hush puppies. The service is great except when it gets real busy, then the poor waitresses are just trying to maintain as a other business. Would highly recommend this place!!!!!!
