River Terrace New Orleans Cuisine

We haven't been here since it was the Old Lamplighter. They've done a really nice job with the remodel and decoration. It's a very nice, rustic looking place. We started off with a couple of apps. The crab cake and a cup of the etouffee. Both were delicious and beautifully seasoned. Entrees were the Shrimp and Grits and the Cajun medley. Both were really good. Service was very good as well. They have a nice bar. Small but well stocked. It's a bit of a drive for us but worth the occasional trip or if you're in the area could be a regular treat.

Great food and experience. The seafood options are my favorites. Cozy atmosphere with excellent attention.

It was okay, not as special as I expected. I guess I was hoping for something a little more upscale or elevated plates. The dishes were not presented with any style at all. It was kinda like get, in get out. We were originally going to Southern Tre', but after reading their reviews we decided not to go. Sad Columbia doesn't have any nice dining spots.

This is a gem of history, great food and service. In the building of an inn built 200+ years ago, there is a delightful riverfront restaurant serving fabulous New Orleans cuisine. Service was friendly and accommodating, food was inventive but delightful and delicious. Thanks to our friends, the Stewarts, for recommending a meal here!

My husband and I went for the first time tonight to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the food and drinks! The building is so cozy, and the view of the river is the cherry on top!

We had a great first dinner at River Terrace. We were very excited to try this restaurant with all the great reviews. We started with the crawfish egg rolls and candied pork belly. Though the pork belly and candied onions tasted great, I wish it was crispier because it was a bit too fatty for me. However the egg rolls were yummy. We were bummed that they were out of crab cakes for the night as we had really wanted to try those but something for next time! For entrees hubby had voodoo steak and I had the chicken piccata. Both were cooked to our liking and tasted delicious. We had wanted to try their dessert but were too full so maybe next time. Service was spot on.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING so called Lobster bisque. 0/10 had to return and get something else (still gross) It's .... Pink and slimy no lobster chunks it's blended and also it's sweet. I took a video and I'm trying to upload it. The waitress was nice a little slower when there was only 2 tables she had me and the person behind me , but when she brought out the lobster bisque and I asked her does it come with bread she said yes and never brought breadSo I order the crawfish eggrolls that said had crawfish some type of sausage and cheese stuffed inside well to my surprise there were also mushrooms inside that was not on the menu of description for the crawfish rolls - luckily I had my medicine. I honestly was so disappointed in the lobster bisque and finding out that they were mushrooms inside the crawfish eggrolls that was not mentioned I just paid for what I had and leftYeah as a person that's lived here forever and never been there so the one time I'm like oh let me go try this since they are advertise one of my favorite foods lobster bisque I'm very disappointed and said that I will not be returning but most likely though I am considering trying the Hurricane shrimp but I'll make sure to ask specific questions next time But the location is nice inside and bring your own straw if you don't like drink from a glass It won't let me post the video so I just screenshot it the main parts of the video that I thought were necessaryI don't even really write reviews I was just so disappointed I feel like I had to explain my hurt to y'all so sad Maybe it was off day. I'll try again in a couple months

The best seafood I've tried in Tennessee! It is so cozy inside, the service is so good, you'll definitely love it here and want to come again!
