Slow ass internet. You know it's bad when the upload speed is faster than the download speed. My room was literally 55 degrees when I first walked in. I had to turn on the heat even though it is 80 degrees outside.

I noticed some complaints about cleanliness. This is an older Residence Inn. It appears to have recently been painted. Often just before a hotel is refurbished or at least repaired, there's reviews about it not being clean. Nothing looks cleaner than a fresh coat of paint. Dingy and stained walls and damaged woodwork make a place look dirty and unkept. That's been taken care of with paint and fairly new furnishings. The hotel was busy for a Christmas Eve. We thought everyone but us were already where they were going. A large extended family appeared to have chosen this hotel as their Christmas meeting place. They were all gathered in a room downstairs. There was a problem with guests not returning luggage carts. That wouldn't have been so much of a problem if the sidewalk hadn't been iced over. We forgot our handicapped placard and had to park rather far from the door. I was afraid I'd fall and had to walk slow. Someone had left the cart right by the room we were checking in to. I don't know if the hotel management can do anything about that. They might be able to see where the carts are with cameras and video. I don't know.

Well I tried.I left a day early, as I didn't feel safe. They keep the bottom door open for ... deliveries. One exit away from Jackson just go stay in Jackson. The hair dryer was so sticky. The towels were super thin. The bed was SO SQUEAKY. Not a great stay for many reasons. Staff was nice. Pretty campus.

The main reason for this rating is all due to the FANTASTIC breakfast served this morning by DJ and Josh. MY husband and I travel a lot, and this was, by far, the BEST breakfast we have ever had! From the hash brown casserole to the homemade French toast strips to the fresh fruit, delicious oatmeal with a dozen toppings to every pastry, juice, eggs, sausage, and so much more. DJ insisted on carrying my tray to our car and giving us take out containers for fruit and juice. Josh was equally friendly and helpful. Way way beyond what is expected! The room was nice: as usual, and the gym great. We would stay here again, just to enjoy their breakfast and over the top service.

I would put negative stars after my experience if I could. This location DOES NOT respect those with disabilities that require service dogs. I stayed here in May 2023 with my service dog. Upon check in (early in the morning), the overnight front desk representative(Raquel) demanded credentials and documentation to prove my dog was in fact a service dog. When I informed her that was an ADA violation, she said she wouldn't allow us into the room until she heard from her manager. I asked for the hotel's service dog policy and was presented with a form that said nothing about service dogs at all. It was the hotel's policy regarding having pets. She stated her manager asked for the documentation and said I could show it in the morning. After sleeping for a few hours, I went down to talk with the front desk associate and get some food. She told me there "was a misunderstanding" and I was fine to have my service dog in the hotel. When I went to get food from the breakfast bar, a hotel food representative (Trimane - I don't remember how it was spelled) was helping another guest find the waffles. When the representative saw me, they told me I couldn't have pets in the food area. I told them that it was my service dog, and they said, "I don't care. You can't have dogs in this area. You can have someone get your food for you, but you cannot have the dog in here." I tried explaining that per the ADA rules pertaining to service dogs, I could have my dog with me and did not need someone else to get my food. They doubled down and asked me to leave.I immediately went to the front desk and spoke to the front desk clerk who checked me out. I again asked for the hotel's policy regarding service pets and was told they did not have one but had a pet policy and fee. They pulled up my account and said I did not have the fee put on my account by the representative that checked me in. I explained the previous interactions with both representatives and also explained the ADA policies established by the DOJ regarding service dogs. I also explained how multiple representatives have violated my rights, and how I was turned away for food because I had my service dog. Thai representative was kind enough to do a walkthrough of the room because I did not want to be retaliated agains and held responsible for "damages" my service pet did. While walking through the room, she commented how clean it was and was surprised we even had a dog in the room.I am extremely upset, frustrated, and saddened by the way the Residence Inn by Marriott Jackson treated me, my service dog, and my family while we stayed here. I asked the first desk representative to have her manager (Jermiah) contact me when he came in. They didn't know when it would be because of the Memorial Day holiday. It has been over a week, and I still have not heard from anyone. I'm pretty disappointed with this entire experience.

We booked a suite that sleeps 5. The hallway smelled like smoke. When we walked in the room it was burning up! The thermostat was set to 80. We had to leave to give the room time to cool. We were given 3 bath towels for our family of five. Room did not feel clean. The tile Floors were sticky with hair accumulated along edges. There were Stains on comforter and the sofa. Stay somewhere else. The last two Marriott properties we have stayed in have been gross!

Very nice rooms! Beds are soft & comfy , towels are nice & fluffy ! 2 bedroom suite , full sized kitchen with separate bedrooms & a living room! Did I also mention you get your own bathroom in both rooms? My favorite part about the stay was the front desk lady I believe she works mid shifts , nicest receptionist I've met at any hotel!! Greets you with a smile & "good morning" or "enjoy the evening" hopefully I can add her name eventually she definitely deserves her recognition !! & a raise ! Seriously! She's a keeper (:
