Reeves Fish and Steak House

Cheese curds are great! Wish spicy ones were still available. Whole catfish was super. I had 2 .. wife's steak was ordered med rare and was cooked great but the cut was a bit tough. Not tender at all.

The food was great as always. The staff are very attentive and know their products. The best salad bar around.

This is as local as you can get. You go to the middle of nowhere and turn right. But worth the trip. Ribeye steaks or catfish is there specialty. My ribeye was perfectly prepared. Will try the catfish if I'm ever back in the area.

We were staying in the area for a week and found Reeves Fish and Steak House. It is a great place and the food was delicious! We will definitely go back when we are there again!

Nice place close to Red Bay, AL that locals go too. We liked it, simple, fast and great food. Only open on thurs, Friday and Saturday 5 to 9 pm

For the area this was a fine restaurant. The service was good actually very good, the staff were friendly and attentive. Our problem was with the food. Everything was a little over seasoned with a salty garlic taste. I ordered my steak medium well which works for me in Chicago. I should have known that most places we have been to here means it came to me done and done! My husband had the catfish, the fish was very good but it was also over cooked. There aren't a lot of choices in Red Bay but I know we can do better than this. I will say the restaurant was very busy with mostly locals so apparently they are servicing the area just fine.

We go to Reeves at least once when we visit Red Bay, AL for work on our motorhome. Which is usually a couple times a year. As Sharon mentioned the ambiance has a lot to be desired but the folks are friendly and the food is good (the only thing we are not wild about it their coleslaw, which is kid of strange but the salad bar is good). We have had the fish and the steaks many time and the steaks are tender and tasty and cooked (mostly) to order. I have started ordering the lemon pepper catfish instead of the fried and it is really good too. We will continue to frequent Reeves when we are in the area.They are only open Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights and are hard to find...look for the church.

A little local hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere. Delicious steak perfectly marbled. Fluffy baked tater and salad bar fresh and delicious! Great service to boot! Get there early! Get there as often as you can. Limited hours.

Really enjoyed our meal here. It's def a place for the locals and I enjoy that! It's a little hard to find and when u get there the entrance door is around on the side. No signs to speak of, but if you're a local u don't need a sign lol. It's in an old house nothing fancy at all , inside or out. The waitress was great and really friendly as was everyone else. The sale bar was really good . Husband had a steak and really enjoyed it . I had the catfish and thought it was really good. Will def go back next time we're in Red Bay!!
