Red River Cafe

Food was good and service was good. A lot to choose from on the menu. Homemade pies. Nice place by the river.

We had a wonderful lunch at this cute little cafe. I had the lunch special with chicken fried chicken and it was so good. My husband had the burger with fries and he said it was perfect. We topped it off with a delicious piece of strawberry pie. Everyone was friendly and inviting. We'll definitely stop in again next time we're in the area.

The daily specials feature large portiins if good food, at very reasonable prices! I had the CFS daily deal; Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Seasoned Green Beans, and a large Dinner Roll - for only $8! My CFS was thicker than the usual thin chicken-fried steaks - and seasoned hust right for me! The ladies had the same special, except with Fried Chicken - it was a big hit all around!We were full, but they had so many dessert options we had to try a couple; the 4-Layer Chocolate Pie, and a Chocolate Ice-Cream Cone - both were excellent to the last morsel!Excellent home-cooking food, great prices, and friendly servers - WE WILL BE BACK!

Stopped in there about a month ago at lunch time. Sat there a fair amount of time before a waitress finally came over to the table. I had a hamburger steak, which came with a couple of small sides in little bowls. It was ok, but about what you'd get from a frozen dinner. Waitress never came back to even offer a drink refill, nor to bring me the check. Had to walk up to the register, and the young girl at the counter had to figure out where I was sitting and what I had ordered. Not a very good first impression.

Been passing by too many times so we stopped by this morning.Easy parking.This place is clean, even the bathrooms are Clean. Seating there is no end to the seating.Portions to price, I find this is a great deal and worth it.View of the river while eating is great.I like their coffee.I would recommend this place.

9/3/22 we visited at 10:30 am. We were quickly seated and given menus. Very nice and clean environment with the establishment being open about a month. I ordered ice tea, ham and cheese omelet with hash browns, and wheat toast. Hubby ordered the same omelette with biscuits and gravy. Omelette looked about the right size, with small diced ham through out. Hash browns were thin as a pie crust, very small portion, all crackly brown. Biscuit was a good size although the gravy was lukewarm. I received white toast instead of wheat, not buttered, no jam or jelly in sight. Wait staff did not check with us throughout our service, it it was like we were forgotten. At tleast 10 employees on the floor, with 6 tables filled. No ice tea refill.We might give them sometime to find their footing, and pay them another visit. To many better restaurants in immediate area. No phone number listed on Yelp or any other search engine should you want to place an order to - go.

Good food and service was amazing. Very cozy and clean with a great view. Couldn't beat the price either!

The food is always delicious. The service is excellent and the pies and cakes are to die for !

Breakfast like you used to find it on every small town square but hardly exists anymore. Handmade omelets from real eggs, real meat, incredible pancakes. I had the Philly Steak omelet and it was incredible. PACKED with well seasoned Philly steak. Generous proportions and, if you have any room left, huge selection of homemade desserts.

We've been wanting to stop by and try this place out so we did. We got burgers which were ok. I make better ones at home. The tater tots had a frozen food taste and weren't cooked crispy. The people were really nice though.
