Rafters Music And Food

After looking at many menus for this area we decided on Rafters because we wanted a cocktail after a long drive and they were the only restaurant we could find that served alcohol. The menu needs to be updated as they no longer have shrimp and grits on the evening menu. We ordered the deep fried chicken fingers with coleslaw and potato salad. The chicken was tasty but a little overdone. Cole slaw was nothing special/average. Potato salad was the same. Service was good, except he never took an empty glass or dish. He was friendly and quick. The ambiance was good. It looks like the place to be during warm weather.

Very impressed with my first visit. Crawfish rolls were a fantastic starter and served from-the-fryer hot. I had the Voodoo burger with Tabasco aioli and fried jalapenos. Great burger with fresh ingredients, but unfortunately overcooked - I asked for medium rare and got a grey-throughout patty. Other than that, it was a great meal with good music and great service.

COLD FOOD!!!!!! This is the 2nd time I've made an order at rafters and the fries are soggy & cold and fish is cold also. Not going back.

Would love to give a 5 star! Had the shrimp platter! Omg shrimp was delicious! The green beans yum! I need the recipe. Mashed potatoes were yummy. However hush puppies Someone needs a cooking lesson. Doughy in the middle and not enough cornmeal! Coleslaw not eatable. The okra was not cooked enough was too soft, almost not done! So sad! I'll probably go back for the shrimp but have to do different sides! Waitress was a sweetheart and very attentive, and they were busy!!!!!

2 stars . Food was good but service was very poor. I didn't not receive all of my food that was ordered. I called & talked to a server that wouldn't let me speak to a manager because they were too busy. So I asked her if she could handle it? As in if I order a 2 pc. meal would she reimburse the 3 pc for free? she said no. Lastly I asked if she would simply write my name and number down so that her manager could call me to fix things? Can you believe the girl refused to do this also??I absolutely love the food but the service is ridiculous.

I don't have an idea what is going to this guy's leave only 4 This food is excellent I have southern food in Georgia but this is excellent.. The bartender is very good to.. look at the pictures and u can see what we was having The place is very clean ... if I was leaving in here for sure this is was my favorite place to come every weekend

Well such a great treat. Rafters in New Albany MS little over a block away from I 22. Food with southern NOLA influence. Staff happy and friendly Madeline our bartender was just married and leave on tour of duty in Middle East. Great pours to support the NOLA vibe.. speaking of vibe Patrons where from around the states. I would say eat , drink and enjoy the vibe as you make a trip down I 22 on your to Tupelo.

I'm super disappointed in Rafters. We've been before and it was good. Today we waited over an hour for food. 45+ minutes of that time we had no drinks and didn't even see the server. When she finally came out, we asked for drinks. She said "okay" and walked away to the table next to us. They also asked for drinks. She took their cups to the back and got them refills. We promptly walked out. I've never walked out of a restaurant in my life but it was pretty obvious our server didn't want to be there and wasn't going to actually serve us.
