decent course
Solid course, but the shop boys were just as distracting as the scenery

First time to play this course. Greens were acceptable, but the entire course needs a good weed whacking. Tree limbs hang over cart paths. Almost no signage to direct you from hole to hole. Cart paths are broken and in need of repair. I'm sure it was once a great course, but not today.

My hubby and I got a hot deal on the Golf Now app to play here. The staff was friendly and bathrooms were clean at the clubhouse. The carts were older and a little worn. The cart paths were in very bad condition. The paved path has a ton of spots where it is all broken up and even dangerous to drive on in some spots. The fairway was super hard and not fun to play on. The overall condition of the course was disappointing. There was even trash around the ponds and ditches. I do not think we will play here again.

The course itself is very well maintained. Pretty open on most holes which help if your drive tends to travel off the straight and narrow sometimes. The weekends get backed up a little so get there early. The only reason I took a star away was the rush we felt sometimes from the marshals at the tee, the turn and the back nine. We weren't being pushed up by anybody and never saw the foursome behind us, yet we were told to pick up our pace.

Terrible. You better go out to a dried up field and practice hitting off dirt before you play here. Hit a bomb off the tee box and you'll be hitting off dirt in the middle of the "fairway". Greens are like putting on asphalt. One of the pros was also very rude, the other was really cool. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Play this course quite often. It is a mediocre course with only 2 par 5 holes. Fairways are a bit rough and they are cut close during fall and winter which makes hitting off fairway a bit tough. Sand bunker need a bit of attention with grass and weeds sometimes growing. Course is layed out well but if you hit into the rough you most likely lose a ball so don't use expensive golf balls if you are a weekend golfer. Lots of trees on fairways so again if you do not hit into the fairway the trees are going to play paddleball with your golf ball. Quite a bit of water on this course so beware. For the fee is worth playing this course. They have a driving range and putting green just before the first hole which is great for a warm up prior to playing. All the associates have been great!

The course don't match the price. This could be a very nice course. If it was maintained better.

We traveled 30 minutes after being told on the phone that the carts had to be in by 7:30. We walked in at 6 o'clock to play 9 holes. We was greeted by a young teenager licking his fingers while eating saying "what y'all want?" We mentioned to the guy that we had called earlier and wanted to play 9 holes. He then says, "we ain't going to get no more carts for the evening, y'all can walk". We explained that we had just called on the phone and he says, " i don't know who told you dat, but it wasn't me." We will not be back.

The golf experience was ruined by the clubhouse experience. Upon arrival I noticed signage dictating current COVID-19 expectations. This was good to see. The problem was many of the staff failed to adhere to it. The gentleman behind the cafe counter was not wearing a mask nor was the customer in line ordering food. I bypassed the area and moved to clubhouse to quickly pay and exit. You entered the room only to find one worker behind the counter with no mask and another worker with his mask under his chin. I asked why they were not following Shelby COVID guidelines. His answer was "they didn't tell me I had to". I asked who the "they" he was referring included. His response was his manager. I politely thanked him and refused to continue the conversation or checkin for my tee time. Blatant disregard for own and personal health

Disappointing course considering it is rated the number 5 in the area. Cart paths are in desperate need of repair. Drop offs and holes all over. Fairways and greens were I horrible shape, with bare spots and uneven. Grass was terrible.Carts old and brakes hardly work on the one we had..would NOT recommend anyone play here.

Really enjoyed this course. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. The course is in very nice shape and while the greens are firm, they hold well and are well maintained. The course is challenging with some water hazards and bunkers guarding most greens. One of my favorite courses in the Memphis area. The snack bar has limited options with only hot dogs and a couple of choices for sandwiches. Restrooms were not very clean which is a shame for such a nice facility.Carts are in very good shape, but the cart paths are pretty rough.
