The food here is good. I start with that, because that is all it has got going for it. As we waited to place our order, we could clearly hear the manager cursing on the phone with another customer. Someone from the drive-thru was barging her way into line to complain that her chicken was too greasy. I won't even be able to address the location's problem with a functional queue in this review.I ordered my food from a cashier who was barely audible in a language that was similar to English... My friend's food took 39 minutes... mine took over 15. This is ridiculous. The tables were not clean. The attitudes we received were terrible. MANAGEMENT: you should step in and fix the problems here.

I wouldn't normally stop at a small sketchy drive thru place like this but I guess I was feeling spontaneous. The drive thru speaker is pretty bad, hard to hear what the cashier is saying. She ended up yelling at me to pull forward. I came up and asked for a 3 pc chicken meal but she said all she has is 3 legs and they're about to cook more. I wasn't about to wait so I just took the 3 legs. Chicken was pretty good, fries and roll were "Eh". I guess my only real problem is how dirty it looks. I almost changed my mind because of how dirty just the windows looked. Lots of competition around here. I'd recommend cleaning it up, fixing the speaker, and working on better timing for cooking chicken so customers don't leave empty handed.

I love love love the chicken and the gravy here. Service isn't always the best but the chicken is worth it.

The facility was disgusting, the service was poor, the wait was ridiculous. Cashier stated it would be a 15 minute wait on chicken (at a chicken restaurant) and I should have taken the hint when the dissatisfied customer in front of me asked for a refund, "people have got their food, eaten, and left and I'm still waiting on chicken!" It took 35 minutes to get the food. In the meantime, I had the chance to experience the sticky floors, what appeared to be a drink that spilled (and had dried) by the register with a wade of napkins covering it, flies buzzing, and dead crickets by the doors. The ceiling was literally falling apart. Not sure how this place got a 96 from the health department. I'm only giving it two stars because the food wasn't terrible. It was fresh and hot. I don't think it will be the end of your world if you miss this place while you're in Memphis but it also may have just been this location.

The chicken wasn't that great but the biscuits and gravy totally kickass. You could put that gravy on pine bark and I think most people would eat it. The steak sandwich was good. The service was so-so. The restaurant appears to be an old Taco Bell maybe and it was been decently maintained. All things considered, I would not go out of my way to eat here again but if I was passing by I would stop and get some biscuits and gravy.

Easily one of my favorite places to eat in Memphis for many years. This fried chicken puts all the others to shame. Fabulous gravy for dipping biscuit, chicken or, my favorite, French fries! Gravy on ff's take them to a whole new level. The hot dog or smoke sausage with slaw or their steak sandwich is amazing. My recent try was rice bowl with chicken or livers - - now a new favorite. One of very few places that you can get fried livers and gizzards.

The Poplar Avenue and Cleveland St. location in Memphis needs a new manager and cook. I can understand a "new" cashier at work, however, she needs to be "hands on trained" while working. It took my co=worker and I, on our lunch break, 20 to 25 minutes to get a small order of gizzards, which the cashier incorrectly entered to the cook, and one hamburger. There was only 1 customer in the store when we walked in and maybe 2 cars in the drive through. The employees were nice but not sufficient or timely.
