For reference we went on a Saturday, arriving approximately 30 mins after opening... We had to wait until our entire party arrived before we could be seated but after they arrived we were seated within 5 mins.. we were seated in one of the large rooms but they have multiple sitting areas and also private rooms..I got the chicken fried sandwich and it was massive.. the chicken was hanging off the bread and I had to remove the bottom bun because it was soo big...The rest of our party enjoyed their food and ended up taking left overs home..

I finally made it to Patti's 1880's Establishment. If I had to describe it in one word it would be WOW!!!!Amazing experience from start to finish. The establishment is beautiful and welcoming. The staff is top notch. Everyone was so nice. Service was impeccable. Wes you rock!!!! I couldn't help but smile the moment I got out of the car. The smells coming from the restaurant are mouth watering. We walked around and saw the koi fish and the peacocks and stopped in all the little shops. For dinner we chose the Classic BLT and pepper soup that was served with homemade kettle chips and the most tasty hot mustard. I kept dipping my spoon in it. So delish!!! Karen ordered the Hot Brown which looked so good! We did save room for dessert which was Sawdust pie. I've always wanted to try it and it had great flavor. I want to go back in November when they have the Festival of Lights. I can only imagine how beautiful and festive it is!!!!

Is Patti's a tourist trap? Oh yeah. Definitely. BUT, you should still go. Especially at Christmas time. This place has like, 11 dining rooms and they are all elaborately decorated for the holidays. The food was pretty good, even though we didn't try their famous dishes. Apparently they are known for the huge pork chop but we were there just after 11am and opted for sandwiches. I had the turkey club and my husband had the steak sandwich. Both came with awesome homemade potato chips. We thought it was weird that the steak sandwich came with mayo but otherwise it was fine. I do highly recommend ordering the flower pot bread with strawberry butter. So good. We also ordered a slice of coconut cake to go and a chocolate chip pecan pie to bring home. The cake didn't have enough coconut flavor and the pie didn't have enough pecans for me, but I like to be smacked in the face with flavor. Patti's has lots of gift shop stuff, but I was disappointed that it wasn't locally sourced. For instance, surely there are craft chocolate makers in Kentucky, but the bagged chocolates sold in the shop are from Minnesota. Why? Most of the products sold are things that can be found elsewhere and for a much better price. I overheard a lady exiting one of the gift shops telling her companion, "I can get that at Walmart for a dollar..." That's pretty accurate. However, Patti's is charming and worth a stop if you're in Kentucky.

First of all, amazing grounds with everything you could think of including live peacocks. Life size chess game, outdoor checkers and amazing lights outside while you wait for table. The food inside wasn't what we had hoped. Ordered kids meal burger with not much flavor. Kentucky hot brown had yummy homemade chips, but ham and sauce were too much salt with chips for my taste. Catfish was good. Had apples delight porkchop which was on dry side with decent loaded baked potato. Flowerpot bread was cute and a hit. Comes with several meals. Overall liked the experience and food was ok.

It's always a nice experience here! I've been going since I was a kid and since before they built the new building. They maintained the same Patti's atmosphere and experience with a more modern look. The following are some of my personal recommendations from going here for years. The 2 inch pork chop is the thing to do and worth the hype. Even though I grew up here I still get the pork chop every time I visit so it's not just for tourists. It's delicious and they have a unique sauce served with it that you might love or hate. I've also always had a love for their cheese "logs" appetizer. They are huge cheese sticks and so good! I know everyone loves the flower pot bread and strawberry butter so I'll say definitely try it although it's not really my thing. The spinach salad with hot bacon dressing is my favorite side, and if you like loaded baked potatoes you should try their version with the homemade cheese sauce. Lastly, even though I never get dessert I'd highly recommend it for anyone visiting. They are famous for their desserts and there are so many to choose from. The mile high merengue is a sight to see. For those visiting, be sure to walk around the property... there are some animals to see, a cute wedding chapel, many great gift shops and even a liquor store with a free moonshine tasting. The ice cream shop and Grist Mill Cafe are seasonal and nice stops in the summer when walking around. They have a full coffee/latte menu at the walk-up and order Grist Mill Cafe. The soft serve at the ice cream shop is yummy and they have several swirl flavors which is hard to find. You can also walk nearby to more gift shops and antique stores for the full experience of Grand Rivers. This place is a gem in my hometown area and it's a must-see.

Four of us took a day drive to dine and see the Christmas Lights. Indescribable Decorations, SO well done every where you looked. Friendly and Courteous Staff from hostess check in to the shops. We all had to try the HUGE Pork Chops with Baked Potatoes and Salads served with warm bread and several butters made in house. Pies were served up warm and even the delicious coffee is their own blend, all served to perfection. Jordan, our server, was personable, knowledgable and made our experience superior! Cannot wait to go back and try something else on the menu, stay overnight in one of the quaint accommodations, and take in whatever event is being offered in this "step back in time" laid back destination.

I love the food and ambiance of this restaurant. Stopped here on the way to Knoxville. Had the catfish and it was a huge portion so no room for dessert, maybe need time. The Bills Boatsinker looked really good.
