Pagliai's Pizza & Italian Restaurant

The pizzas are incredible, with crust choices from very this to very deep dish. There is a large variety of toppings to choose from. The baked goat cheese appetizer is served with small baguette rounds, and is delicious. I have also had several of the other menu choices at other visits. I've never had anything I didn't like here. This is a casual, kid friendly, place.

Best pizza we've had so far in Murray. Good light crust, slight char, and sauce has a little tang to it. If I had to complain, I don't care for the toppings being under the cheese. It causes the occasional landslide of toppings and cheese from the slice. We even had this delivered to Puryear by Murrayeats.com.We've only had takeout and delivery so I can't rate the restaurant itself yet.

Absolutely the best thin crust pizza I've ever had and I don't ever eat thin crust, so that says a lot about me. Always great service and food!

We are from Union City, but come to Murray pretty often to visit family. We thought we'd try Pagliai's since we had not eaten there in a few years. There were only a couple people in there so it was quiet, yet we had to get up and ask for refills. Our pizza came quickly and was hot and fresh, but it definitely needed some salt and pepper. It just really didn't have much taste.

Great food. Large building. Great service. Friendly staff. And they have any kind of soft drink you could ask for. It is well worth giving it a try.

I'll start off with saying the music choice and our waitress were pretty good, but that's about all that was good. Walking in all the tables were dirty and the workers gave my wife and I dirty looks as we were waiting to be seated, ended up seating ourselves (no signs to indicate). The person making the pizza needs a hug because the pizza was made with sadness, the pasta was rock hard and flavorless, the salad seemed pretty decent but what little salad dressing I had was very salty. Drinks were watered down. It felt very uninviting inside. There were disgusted looks given to my wife and I by workers and restaurant guests as we just tried to walk through to the buffet and to our seats. We don't plan to go back.

First let me say I have no input on their pizza, and from the looks of the place I would say that is why most people go there. In Non-COVID times it appears they probably have a pizza buffet and I imagine that draws in the college crowd. My wife and I had spaghetti with marinara and baked lasagne, some garlic bread and cheese bread. It was all well below average in my opinion. The garlic bread appeared to be toasted with fake butter and from what we could tell no garlic at all. The cheese bread was the same bread with melted mozzarella that had no flavor. The sauce on both main dishes tasted like barely seasoned tomatoes from a metal can where you could taste the metal a bit. Maybe give their pizza or sandwiches a try, but I would stay away from any "traditional" Italian dishes.

On the final college moveout day, my daughter took me to Pagliai's. This is the place the local Rotary Club eats on Thursdays, which is a pretty reliable indicator of value-priced good food. First of all, this place is rather spacious, it could have handled a lot more people than we saw on a Wednesday night. Also, even with the pizza ovens and on a 90+ degree day, the room temperature was comfortable. Our server was fantastic! She told what pizzas were on the pizza bar, and asked if we'd like to put in a request, which we did. When that particular pizza appeared on the pizza bar, she came back to let us know. Pizza, simple salad, and soda, a college-town feast, all-you-can eat, and I'm sure we paid less than $10/person before tax and tip. Wish I'd found Pagliai's before my final trip to Murray!

We absolutely love their fresh pizza (never tried the buffet). It's by far our favorite in the area. The service is always excellent. We've brought friends and family and everyone we've brought to eat here agrees with us. We look forward to our next visit!

This was my favorite pizza place during high school and college, and I still eat there when I'm in Murray. It never disappoints.
