Oxford Grillehouse

Had dinner last night and finished with the martini. So good we had dinner somewhere else and came back for the martini. Lots of boring bartenders in oxford. These bartenders are fun and entertaining.

Love this little gem on the courthouse square. I'd bet money on their scallops being the best you can find east of the Rocky Mountains!Can't go wrong with their filet, ribeye, or anything they serve. Steaks are always cooked to perfection & wine pairing recommendations are spot-on. Great food, service, atmosphere, & staff.

On a random late Sunday afternoon, and with evening dining options seemingly limited in Oxford, my wife and I decided to give this steak house a try (for our very first time).The service was fair, but a bit uneven, with the youthful waiter sometimes disappearing for extended periods of time. He seemed familiar with the menu, however, and had decent recommendations. I hated having to flag him down several times for simple refills of my iced tea. Those types of things ought to be automatic for any server.The food was actually good. I had a large steak filet, and it was prepared exactly to my specifications. My wife was impressed with the quality of the drinks expertly prepared by the bartenders.The inside of the restaurant had a nice vibe to it. The paint on the ceiling is peeling off, and while that may add to the rustic charm of the interior, my concern is paint chips contaminating my food and drinks. (I wonder if the paint is so old that it contains lead?)If in the area, I might stop by here again, but I'm very interested in trying some of the other restaurants in the area. (3 1/2 stars, rounded down to 3.)

The food was amazing & there was not a long wait. The staff was unfortunately not very friendly or attentive. Would return as maybe our server was having an off day

First visit to Oxford grill house (very difficult to get in, had to go on non-game day weekend), but now we know why, steaks would rival Ruth's Chris, Morton's or Jeff Ruby's, yes they were that good! We frequent Ruth's at least once a month, and if I lived in Oxford this would be my go to steak house, no question. Steaks cooked perfectly, great flavor, Brussel sprouts perfectly crispy, green beans seasoned nicely, and the strawberry butter with bread stater was phenomenal. Hostess younglady Thursday night 9/7/23, very friendly and accommodating, as was the youngman who was our server. Strongly recommend you try Oxford grill house if you can get in.

Amazing waiter, good wine, food was just ok. Arrived just as they opened and were first ones in. Steak was not prepared as requested and sides were served cold. Not interested in going back and spending that much money on food that was just okay.

Bad Management - Was in Oxford for a game weekend and understand things are super busy. They don't take reservations so we got in line for a table of 6 at 4:30 pm for the wait list and were 5th in line. We didn't want to eat that early so we asked if we could be on the second round of seating's, they said not a problem and they sat the two six tops that were behind us. So we were top of the list for the next 6 top which should have been around 6-6:30. We left and came back around 5:45 and watched one six top leave at that point we approached the host stand as a manger approached and he told the hostess not to seat that table that the owner had friends who were moved to the top of the list and were going to use that table. At that point we were told that the other 6 top should be leaving soon. They proceeded to chat and hangout with the table next to them until 7:45 even though thy had been sat since 4:30. 1. The owner should not bump friends to the top of the waitlist on one of the busiest nights of the year.2. They need to tell tables there is a time limit - the one table that left at 7:45 had been sat since 4:30 but they didn't want to order that early so they chatted for a full hour before even ordering.

Steak is really good it's on the saltier side every time I've had it which I like. The atmosphere is great and the staff is always on it.

This establishment has terrible customer service and poor management capabilities. Me and my family waited 4 hours for a table we were promised by the rude hostess. Come to find out the owner is drunk and giving away table to his equally drunk and obnoxious friends. Never come here if you value your time and money or happiness, I will forever boycott this place.

Today me and my family had dinner at the lovely Oxford Grillehouse. our waitress Emmy was very polite and patient. She brought our drinks out in a very timely manner and also was on top of our refills!! They have some of the best food in town and waiters. Ask for emmy when you go there I promise you won't be disappointed!!
