Osaka Japanese Cuisine

I am really not sure why this place got so many bad reviews. My experience was great, my husband and I made great conversation with the sushi chefs who surprised us with random sushi rolls to try on request we had a woman server who was very attentive and kind to us, made sure our waters were filled, brought our food out on time, stayed connected and checked in to make sure we were doing ok, brought the bill out on time.I love going to places where we feel taken care of and enjoy our time together as a family. This is definitely our new go to for sushi. The tuna and salmon sashimi pieces were very fresh and perfectly portioned. We got the Cordova roll which is now my new favorite, and the kids chicken and rice plate which my son loved.Thank you! We'll be back

I haven't been to Osaka in a long time, so when deciding where to go for lunch I was excited to go in and have Japanese cuisine! I really enjoyed my meal. I started out with the clear soup. It was really good and had a good amount of mushrooms and onions to make it flavorful. Next, I had the Dynamite Roll. It was super good and filling. So much so I couldn't eat all of my lunch. I could have gotten the 4 rolls, but I didn't know how big the full would be. So, if you are sharing this is definitely enough for two. For my lunch, I have the steak, rice, and veggie hibachi. My steak was medium well and packed with flavor. The rice and vegetables were the same. I literally didn't need any additional sauce for it. The service was really great and it wasn't crowded during that time.

Way too overpriced and under flavored. $17 for hot sake is insane! The "fresh" sushi tasted like grocery store sushi. With alcohol the bull was over $150 for two people. Such a disappointment. The staff was average. Hostess was rude and basically ran to our table to seat us. Our server was very nice and attentive. I will never go back to this sushi restaurant.

I'm not a picky eater and very rarely do I leave poor reviews, but I think anyone who's considering going here needs to know what they're walking into.I ordered the lunch special and for $17+automatic 15%gratuity, I was very disappointed.My sushi rolls fell apart the moment I picked them up with my eating utensils. The quality of sushi rice was poor and the appearance of it was poor. A simple california roll is basic and they couldn't even mimic decent quality california rolls. I could go to an asian buffet and get better quality rolls for much cheaper and unlimited amounts.To add to this, my white rice was not white. It had a yellowish tint. The rice was also falling apart and not in the dome shape it normally should be in. It was also dry. The steak I ordered was suppose to be medium and when I chewed on it, it was cooked more than that. It was also so chewy, I could barely get it down my throat to swallow. The veggies were okay, but the squash I ate had discoloration and I'm confident I received squash that was past it's expiration because the mushiness of it did not taste or feel normal in my mouth. I had to spit it out. I did not finish my food and did not enjoy it. I am pretty sure that the food wasn't made with fresh ingredients and I plan to never come back nor recommend it to others.The service from the server during lunch time did the bare minimum. It was not crowded and the server did not provide any service outside of his required job which was to take the orders and make sure we paid. He did nothing to go out of his way when my friend and I dined.I wish I saw the reviews before going here. The food and service do not hold up for what you pay for. I should have just gone to an asian buffet to receive better food and service.

Food is still good IF you can get it in this century. They have restarted the conveyor belt for lunch but when I visited today, there were 4 plates on the belt and 10 (including me) people at the bar. The two sushi chefs disappeared shortly after I arrived never to return. I ate one plate and the waiter offered to order me something another plate which he did. 10 minutes later still no sushi and no chefs. I had to get back to work so I just paid for one plate and my tea then left. So sad that this place has gotten that bad. I won't go back.

SO DISSATISFIED!! just went for my best friend's BIG birthday and service was nonexistent! we had a reservation and they didn't even bother to acknowledge that! and water? we never got it PLUS no waitress ever came to us! used to be so good and now the environment is absolutely diabolical. if i could leave 0 stars, trust me... i would never coming back and if you're reading this.... DON'T GO!!!! osaka more like osucka

The service was awesome I loved how the chief did his little show on the grill and the food is amazing. can't wait to come back

Had the Cordova Sushi roll, mid-afternoon on a Wednesday. Service was great. The sushi roll was wonderful.

The menus were stained and sticky. Service was terrible. I had to halfway get out of my seat and grab my beverages and food from the server. Like she was too lazy to take two more steps up to my table and put the food on the table I would rather have had Taco Bell or McDonald's. I ordered the steak hibachi. The vegetables were extremely greasy and soggy no flavor. The steak was so tough. It was like beef jerky that had been sitting out under the sun for hours. I couldn't even chew it up. almost makes me wonder if it was leftover food from lunch rush and it just got reheated. The fried rice had corn in it. I have never had fried rice with corn in it in my entire life I think that it's supposed to have eggs in it, not corn. And then with a 15% automatic gratuity just terrible. I would've given it zero stars if that was an option.
