One of the cleaner Asian stores in town, OBM or Hong Shi (in Mandarin) stocks the most Japanese products after Chinese and a little of Filipino and Mexican goodies. The owners are Taiwanese so if you're South East Asian and are looking to cook some of your curries from scratch, you might be out of luck. The owners don't cook themselves so are a little lost even when you tell them what you need lol. Still, it's good enough for canned food, bottled sauces and pickled vegetables and what not. Wednesdays late afternoons and Thursdays are good to come get your weekly fresh vegetables. That's when they the truckloads of fresh vegetables and fruits get delivered. They sometimes have cooked dim sum to sell. They cook them on Saturdays... so if it's Friday, I wouldn't buy them since they've been sitting there for a week! Fresh fish, crabs and lobsters. They'll even clean them for you - ask before you let tell them what you want - the female owner can get moody lol.

You can get everything here. Good choice of vegetables. Very economic way of grocery shopping compare with other local supermarket.Just beware when you are buying frozen food or fresh meat, check the expiration date and make sure it is not double labled. It happens to me serveral time that the food is spoiled because it is expired 1 week ago but someone put a new lable on top of the old one that shows it will expire one week later. I call that cheat. Also, don't lose your wallet there, because their card system doesn't require your pin when you choose use debit card.Beside that, it is a great store to shop all asian food.

Love to be able to pick the live telapia from aquarium n get them to fry it fresh. And the noodles n shrimp n beef r great too - a huge box for about $8.00. Fried fish is about $8.00 a fish too depending on weight! U get homecooked vietnamese food sold on Thursday like rice dumplings for $3.00 each..Husband n wife owners r real nice n friendly n helpful.

I needed watercress. Who carries watercress!! Oriental Best Market does. I was able to call them and they worked with me in that they were expecting a shipment that day but the truck does not always have the watercress to bring. They answered the phone!!! A lot of stores don't answer the phone any more. And they went back and talked to the guys who unloaded the truck to make sure it came in on the truck!!! Saved me a lot of driving around to find that one item. They had plenty of watercress. It was fresh and their price was low!! Good prices, good quality, good staff.

My daughter introduced me to this market. Awesome place for quantity and variety. As in all shopping, buyer beware of what you are picking up, but by and large we were very pleased with our two times there so far.
