Olympic Steakhouse

Probably the most bizarre lunch I've had this year. The word steakhouse fools you. Because it looks and feels like a Hometown Buffet, complete with buffet lunch option and soft serve machine. Even the plates look like Hometown Buffet. The prices are really low. But you quickly realize the cost savings comes from choices like providing generic ketchup. The chicken parm lunch... it looks like small chicken breast thrown on a backyard grill, covered with an oddly textured marinara sauce and a slice of provolone. I'm leaving this restaurant confused about what just happened here. I guess it was lunch. Or it was supposed to be. For the price, it isn't bad. But it isn't what you expect from a steakhouse. On the plus side, the waitress was relatively attentive and very nice.

Everyone was friendly but didn't make it for the buffet. We where just passing threw and thought it would be a good place to stop for a bite to eat. The salad bar is good but would not recommend the burgers. The burgers just tasted like the grill and had a lot of char on it. They also have various things on their menu to pick from. I wouldn't advise people who don't live in the area to come here.

My family and I came here for dinner every had a great meal and the waitstaff was awesome as well. Steaks were great and decently priced.

Very good steaks at a very reasonable price. They also have the best salad bar in town. Granted, they don't have much competition here, but the food is fresh and the options are decent. My only complaint is that their ice cream machine doesn't appear to work very well. I can live without ice cream though. If I want ice cream, I'll go to DQ .

For starters between me and my fiancé we ordered 4 entrees ( Steak, catfish, spaghetti, cajun alfredo ) . the pasta was so bland and noodles were soggy we sent it back because it could not be saved with salt and pepper. The catfish meat was completely detached from the breading/shelling ( you could literally flap the meat of the catfish inside of the shell). though me and my fiance enjoyed the flavor about an hour after eating there my stomach began making an unsettling noise. me and my fiancé are now both battling food poisoning from the catfish.

Forced myself out of the house today. Drove up to Ripley because they have a steak house and I didn't want to go to Memphis for dinner. Remember, I just wanted out of the house.Nice place. Large and inviting. Friendly staff. Was surprised by the plastic wrapped utensils which included paper napkins. Ok. Forgivable if the steak is good. Salad buffet was super fresh! Lettuce was crispy and clean. Not one limp or brownish leaf. I don't eat dressing, but I peeked and noticed that there wasn't a dry skim on the top. All the other ingredients were fresh as could be. I jumped ahead and grabbed the salad because I was hungry before getting the menu. I should have stayed with the salad.When I was handed the menu I was unhappy with the age and cleanliness of it. It wasn't gross but it needed a cleaning and even an update to the menu itself.Ordered my 9 oz ribeye medium with baked potato. The wait time was not bad. Then again, I should have been alarmed by how empty the place was. Also should have avoided the blue hair early bird time that I went in. My fault for being hungry. To be fair and honest, I am 59 so I might be able to get away with that.I was pleased to see the steak plate land in front of me. Took me a moment to realize how pale it was and yet still had grill marks. Ok. Fine.Cut into it and saw that it was over cooked. A shame. Sent it back and hoped I wouldn't get a spit steak in return. Cue the final Jeopardy tune.Second steak arrives and I cut into it to make sure it was how I ordered it. Just a hair beyond medium but acceptable. Again, still hungry.Waitress walked away and I tucked in. Not one bit surprised when there was no seasoning. If I say it was bland, you can bet it was bland! Potato was hot and cooked to perfection! I gave the young woman a good tip since it wasn't her fault. It's also the Friday before Christmas and I am not going to be a Grinch. Too many people would have reduced or even not given a tip because something she had no control of. Rant over.So A+ for potato and salad bar. A for staff and cleanliness. D for the steak. Maybe another time.

Food is good, They got a little bit of everything. Service is good most of the time. It is a little pricey. The atmosphere is great for familys.

I have eaten in this restaurant for over 20 years. Do not believe the negative reviews. It is a great place to eat, clean, and friendly. They have a well appointed salad bar and lots of menu choices. The prices are reasonable with nice portion sizes. Do not hesitate to eat here. It is a hometown favorite and worth your time and money.

Bad and not too sanitary. It's just bad, truly awful. You'd have to hold a gun to my head to get me to eat there and I'd probably take my chances with the bullet.

Got great steaks, burgers and a fresh salad bar with lots of items to choose from! Plus yummy rolls, it's always a good spot to eat & friendly service!
