Taken here recently as part of a group. Not a big fan of the old school tea rooms of last century but this place is clearly for the downtown and Courthouse crowds. Salads are large, creative, and tasty. So are the desserts--everyone wanted the pecan cobbler. Almond tea was another huge hit. . They serve up a decent (yet overlooked) burger for us lads but service was great and everyone was happy. Classic modern south setting, and good food. Why not?

Saw on FB where they had a good lunch special last week. Country ham, greens, blackeyed peas and cornbread. Haven't been here in years so decided to stop in. 2 large groups had just been seated and finished ordering when I sat down. Service was OK despite the big groups. Glad my small order got in before there's as I had finished eating when they bought the last plate to one of them. Food however, meh, just so so. I believe their sandwich plates are better than their meats & 2. The country ham was very good, tender and flavorful. The cornbread was not as they gave me a roll, guess they didn't have cornbread. The peas, well, canned, and on a large leaf of lettuce? The greens, canned. If you're going to advertise a hot lunch special, and it's limited to only 1 meat and specific veggies, seems like you would cook them as homemade vs straight from the can. The guy playing the piano at lunch was nice. Definitely a 'fu fu' place.

Very intimate atmosphere, the food was exceptional and the staff knows the food so it's good to hear their descriptions of the selections and why they recommend one particular dish over or before another. Our server hit the mark perfectly. Without a doubt we'll stop in again for lunch or dinner!

Where do I began? A few months ago I dined at this restaurant and the food was decent but we loved it enough to go back for the strawberry pretzel salad, but today is a different story. Today I arrived at the restaurant and was the first to be seated. It took several minutes for our waitress to even acknowledge us and get our drink order, while we had her we went ahead and ordered - she said we would be the first ticket in. However, that was the last time we saw her. We saw countless to go orders and people eating outside being fed. We never even got a tea refill! At the 45 mark we watched one table walk out who was not far behind us. Finally, at the one hour mark I was able to capture the attention of our waitress to which we asked how much longer it would be to which she responded "wait, what did you order?" Needless to say, that was it for us and we left along with the table next to us (who was behind us "in line" mind you). The table next to us told us that they gave their food to another table and attempted to give it to them. Which is obviously gross! When we left no one else inside of the restaurant had gotten their food and everyone looked quite disappointed.Let's keep in mind, we ordered a casserole with strawberry pretzel salad - that is not made to order - all of that is prepared and made before the restaurant is even open. It goes with out saying, we will not be dining here again.

Great affordable lunch choices, I tried the BLT Sandwich with a side of potato chips. They have many different sandwiches as well as salads. Atmosphere was comfortable, and there was a pianist playing music while we ate. I tried the blueberry crisp for dessert and it was very yummy and had perfect sweetness.

Amazing southern food!!! We have been in town working for a week and we have eaten her everyday every single dish is better that Grandmas. The Cat fish is so light you can barely pick it up with a folk the breading was perfect. Honestly the best catfish this southern boy has ever had. The Chow Chow is amazing don't forget it!! That would all make me keep coming back but it get better for me Southern hospitality is taken to the next level we order drinks the first day and the next the server greater the table with the our drink order from the day before and a ski if we wanted the same again. It doesn't even feel like you have A server but an group of friends making sure you happy in their home which by the time you leave feels like you home. I can't wait to come back.

Everything about this place is fake. The menu comes from Cisco and nothing is fresh. Save your money and go to a place that uses fresh real ingredients!!

The food was delicious but the staff left me wishing I'd done more research prior to giving them my business. The store has Trump merchandise at the front of the store. I am, in no way, a Trump supporter, but I would've been okay with them selling the merchandise as their freedom. However, having one of the sales ladies talking loudly to customers about her political beliefs while I ate and shopped was troubling. The same sales lady shamed a customer in front of me in line about that customer's choice of going to Walmart to purchase a wallet. The sales lady suggested that the customer frequent Goody's instead, to support "small business owners". (Goody's is a national chain store and hardly a small business.) I understand we all have opinions, but perhaps a place of business isn't the best place to shame, ostracize, and embarrass your customers.
