Oishi Japanese Express

Definitely smaller . But it's the best around. Very clean compared to any other restaurant!

Very sweet couple. I had the oishi roll and the tn roll ( I think they gave me the tnt roll instead). Will definitely go again.

I guess this is the best you're going to get in this town. Forgive me, my Asian taste buds, and my California/Hawaii standards.As a part Japanese girl myself, I KNOW good sushi when I taste it. I am also used to having the best sushi on the coast of California and my hometown in Oahu.The steak entree was actually decent. So they get a star for that.A Philadelphia roll normally has avocado, cream cheese, cucumber, and fresh salmon in it. Theirs has no avocado and the salmon ISNT fresh. They also are very skimpy on the amount of fish they put in each piece. So the taste is bland unless you're getting it with smoked salmon inside then it's not as bad...They are extremely stingy about the ginger that's supposed to come with it on the side as well. I placed 6 orders of rolls and they only gave me half of 1 order worth. This was all a to-go order placed over the phone so we weren't aware of the amount of ginger that comes with it. When we asked for extra ginger after we went to pick it up, the girl was very rude to my husband and said we were supposed to order extra over the phone as if we were already supposed to know that. What the heck? Unreal.Based on the overall quality of their sushi and customer service, I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I was utterly disappointed :(I think I'll have to try closer to Nashville for some decent sushi in Tennessee.

Sure isn't fancy from the outside but the food is absolutely fire! Small dining area, a lot of people use the take out option.... But it's the best Japanese around!

Moved here from out of state and I would be tempted to hold a small town establishment to a lower standard, but I've visited enough small towns to say that there is not an excuse for this low quality of food. I was disappointed that we were served all of our dishes on styrofoam plates, our miso soup served with flimsy plastic spoons. My roll came with some strange paste inside it that I've never before seen and I've been to more Japanese restaurants all over the county. When I complained she offered to order me a new roll (I was charged for both) the new roll (rainbow roll) came looking a mess, with imitation crab meat inside and poor quality fish on top. It was falling apart and tasted like a gas station sushi roll. I have had better sushi rolls at grocery stores. Not worth the money, or poor experience.

Absolutely wonderful delicious food here. staff is super friendly, prices are great! I would much rather go here than any Chinese buffet style restaurant. I think I've tried and ate everything on the menu now lol it doesn't matter what you pick you can't go wrong. They serve the best sushi I've ever had in my life and I've been everywhere and ate sushi.

Small rolls with a huge favor, small restaurant with a huge menu and the food is amazing. Very surprised that in Lawrenceburg Tennessee there's such a great sushi restaurant. I will be back.

This is a basic sushi place that does things really well. Reminds me of sushi places I loved back in California. Tempura was freshly made, the cream cheese wontons had a generous amount of cream cheese and the sushi sampler and spicy tuna roll I had were very good. Don't expect fancy plates or good ambiance but I will 100% be back. So happy we found this place. :)

Our first time getting food from here. We ordered a chicken teriyaki Bento Box and the Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box. Also the shrimp and veggie Tempura appetizer. It was all very flavorful, the chicken was a little too dry for me, yet very flavorful. The shrimp was very good and not over cooked at all. Even though our order was not how I asked it to be, I asked for no broccoli or mushrooms in the Tempura veggies and received them and I said absolutely no sesame seeds on any thing they were on the California rolls. I called and let Windy know that this is what we received and she is taking care of it next time we go back in. She said she forgot to let them know. I so appreciate that she took responsibility for the mistake. I hate when there is a problem with the order and am made to feel it's my fault. As I stated the food was very good. Hopefully the dry chicken was a fluke and it will be a lot more juicier next time. We will definitely be eating here again. And highly recommend you try it. 4 stars only was due to the chicken.

the salad looked like it had been sitting out for a long time. the soup and the food was served with plastic forks and i couldn't pick up my food with them. I asked her for teriyaki chicken and she brought me hibachi chicken. The woman working starting clipping her sons toenails when we got finished eating didn't wash her hands and then touched my card. The inside looks very run down and nasty. The ceiling looks like it was about to cave in. I will never go back
