Moved to the area in 2017 and visited O'Brien Vision Center in October of 2018 for my every other year eye exam. The wait wasn't bad and never had an issue until today when I went to order more contacts. I've worn contacts for approximately 20 years without an issue. My prescription has changed only once in those 20 years; overall I have great eye health. Today, I asked to order contacts. I waited 15 minutes after I signed in, but the tech I was waiting on didn't review the sign in log, he just went to the lady that was after me. So I went to the reception, who was not very busy at the time, how much longer it would be. She said she could help me, so after waiting 15 minutes, she informed me I needed a new eye exam. Wait, it hasn't been two years? She informed me my insurance was gracious enough to cover an annual exam so I needed to have a new exam AND a contact evaluation to "ensure I can wear contacts"!! Seriously?!?! What a money racket! Fleecing my insurance and not giving one flip about the customer. Time to find a new optometrist. This place only cares about my money. I've already found an optometrist that offers prescriptions for every two years.

Today was my first visit here! Very professional staff. Loved the doctor. Very thorough exam and I never felt rushed! I was a patient at Desoto Eyecare for many years. They were so unprofessional!! So happy I made the change to O'Brien!

Finally, somebody who can help me! Got an appointment same day of phone call, walked out with corrected vision, emailed receipt, and cost me 15 bucks with my insurance. Sigh. What a relief. Thank you.

The opticians there were incredible. Mary helped my 5-year old son with his first pair of glasses. I think she adjusted her lunch hour after I called to tell her I was coming in. We needed to get him into glasses without waiting for 10 days like the other eye doctor that did the exam. They had an on-site lab and sufficient lens stock to get a little boy seeing clearly for the first time--and right away. Prices for a frame and lens package were very reasonable, he was able to find a frame he loved within 5 seconds of seeing the frame display rack. We'll be back!

I had to return my glasses three times due to biofocals not being even. They blamed the issue on the lab but the lady assisting me let me leave the office knowing they were not even. Do NOT go here! Horrible customer service! Very hard to make returns! Rude staff.

Customer service is terrible. Went in for an exam after cataract surgery. Ordered glasses, and when they arrived still had vision issues after trying on new glasses. Also noted one of the lenses had a flaw in it. They sent glasses back with a new Rx. Came back to pick up " new glasses ". Noticed the right lens had the same blemish as the previous pair. The new glasses were in fact the same pair I has returned. They then offered to order a new pair of lens that they would cut in house, so I didn't have to send the frames and lens back. They called about 10 days later and asked me to bring my frames in so they could fit the lens to my frames. I left, happy that I could finally see. The next day I noticed the right lens was loose in the frame. I took the glasses back and was told that was as good as it was going to be because I asked for them to cut the lens in house. They were the ones to offer that. I didn't even know they could do that. They said they would not do anymore exchanges. I have talked to several friends who have had bad experiences as well. Should have done so before using them to start with. Will not use again!
