New Moon BBQ

Food was good enough that I will go back. Good selection, place was clam and staff was nice and attentive.

Ambiance was BBQ style and service was fast and friendly. I wanted to love this place. The green beans were pretty mushy & ribs were a bit on the mushy side as well. I'm guessing both are soaking in liquid for most of the day(s) and waiting to be served. If in the area I wouldn't go back. As mentioned service was courteous and fast. That bumped my rating up!

I have eaten here before when it was Blue Moon BBq. It changed ownership and is now New Moon BBQ. Now they also serve tacos and Mexican food as well. For this review, I had BBQ plate. The BBQ is good. They have their own authentic sauce, i think they make that too. Sides were all good and the Hoe Cakes are as well. I will be back again. Cool ambiance in this place that's family owned.

Decided to pop in after I saw the sign. Place was decorated really nice. Alot of local memorabilia. Ordered the Brisket platter w/baked beans, green beans, and corn bread. The corn bread came out as flat pancakes. Server was very attentive. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Worth the stop.

It's really a 4/5 or 8.2/10 for me, but I saw a couple of ppl gave 1 star reviews and I'm trying to get this places rating higher. Because they deserve it! This is my first time trying them and I was very pleasantly surprised. The brisket is amazing! So tender, just melts on the tongue! The ribs were tender and moist. The pulled pork was a pretty dry. But that's almost to be expected, as pulled pork does not have much fat. A healthy dose of their sauce fixed it. Most of their sides are pretty standard and basic. I wanted to try their broccoli casserole, but unfortunately, they didn't have any for some reason. The turnip greens were fantastic, highly recommend. Even their cornbread pancake (which I normally don't like) was really good, soft and a little sweet. I'm glad I didn't listen to those nonsense reviews and gave this place a try. As a guy from Memphis, I take barbecue pretty seriously and I can tell you this was great. Big portions, good food, I'll be back for sure.WARNING though, their spicy bbq sauce is VERY HOT!I recommend cutting it with their regular sauce by a ratio of 5-1. Then it's perfect Then interior looks like every other bbq joint, nothing to comment on.

We came here because it had decent reviews but we were completely unimpressed. My wife had ribs and potato salad. Her food was really bland. I had a hamburger with BBQ beans. The burger was really bland as well. It tasted like it has zero seasoning. The BBQ beans were really good though. Overall really disappointed. Good place to come if you're on a diet, you won't want to finish your food For the prices they charge you could get Edley's. Worth the drive!

I think the first clue that this is not a barbecue joint even though it's a decorated like one is that they really feature tacos and Mexican food. The barbecue was very dry. They have two kinds of sauce, and one is very very sweet with some spices in it, and the spicy one is so spicy that you can't taste anything after you've had it in your mouth. Got the turnip greens which I liked. What can you do to turnip greens. But I also got the steam broccoli which must've been steamed sometime last week because all of the florettes were gone and they were just the stalks of varying degrees of tenderness, they were not chopped up, it was very disappointing. The staff is not very good. Certainly we were a big imposition.They serve flatbread cornbread that is really out of this world. You can put the dry barbecue in it and put mayonnaise on it and it's wonderful. This is just because someone in your party. insists on going. I don't recommend it.

I read the reviews, decided to form my own opinion and glad I did. Everything on the table was good. I may be being a little harsh on deducting a star for this, but at a sit down restaurant I don't want styrofoam plates. That aside, food and service were really good. Go see them.

Good food, nice people. Brisket and ribs were good, smoked turkey was great. Sides were a bit undersized if you ask me, but good as well. $50 for 2, 2 meat plates, again not great, but not terrible for BBQ

The brisket was great fork tender. The turnip greens were over cooked and the mac'n cheese was over cooked. My son's rib was awesome the smoked sausage was good and his brisket was just as good as mine. Cornbread was great. We may come back to try other things especially the brisket and ribs. The customer service was ‍a little slow
