New China

For this being my first time here I ordered Vegetable Lo Mein with a side of Sweet and Sour Chicken.Ordered via phone and was ready in about 10 minutes. The portions for these are great. Just with these two you could feed up to 3 people easy.The Lo Mein had nice consistency. I wish it would have more veggies on it since I asked for vegetable Lo Mein.The flavor was consistent and tasty. The Sweet and Sour Chicken got me confused.I am used to the chicken bein already mixed with the sour sauce. But .... For the big portion that you get, you get the big bowl of sauce to go with it.I actually liked it being separated. You could sauce only the chicken you are going to eat so the rest doesn't get soggy. Smart on their part. I will definitely come back to try more.

Updated 06/20/2020: Everyone should feel comfortable about ordering from New China at Kirby! All employees wear a mask and gloves, and they have installed a window at the register to prevent any contamination from getting into the kitchen. Same great food as always, and the owner is always friendly. My favorites are House Special Mei Fun and also the boneless spare ribs. Love this place!Original review: New China on Kirby has become one of my favorite Chinese restaurants to get take out from. They have pretty much the standard menu, and quality has always been good for me. Service is usually quick. Inside doesn't offer much atmosphere for dining in, so I consider this for take out only.

So not happy with their egg drop soup. I am a big fan of egg drop soup and that was very lack luster. I literally only came to the place for the soup because Asian Eatery was closed which is my go to for my Egg Drop fix. The soup had not taste. The consistency was off. This was just a bad moment of experiencing my purchases of asian food from a small place outside my college dorm building. Just a way to get something outside the cafeteria. No to mention the staff is very ... reserved... not very welcoming. Major disappointment.

Guy at the front counter is really freaking rude. I like this location's food though, order is always right & food is fresh!

I use to love eatting here my favorite spot everyday i love the staff no problem with that but!!!!!! I stop eatting. There because i always found hair in my food i never had an attitude always came in with a smile and ready to eat but those past few times i. Find hair omg horrible so i completely stop eatting at new china i dont eat at any new chinas locations who what to have to look through out your food for hair or be scared to eat thats crazy and that location knew my order already when i walk in house lo main etrxa spicy well... Sorry new china i cant do hair....!!!!

This is a great spot for Chinese takeout. The lunch specials are $5.49 for the meat, rice and an egg roll! The portions are pretty generous too. For dinner my fiancé and I will share a lo-mein, sweet and sour chicken and crab ragoons and have plenty of left overs. They do have a few tables if you want to eat there.

I can always count on my food being hot and fresh and when ordering takeout. It's always gonna be ready no waiting.

This place is truly disgusting. And the owner was rude. Save yourself the trouble and find a better restaurant.

I placed my order and sat in the lobby the cook went to the restroom with his gloves on and when we came back out he still had the same gloves on and started cooking food. I asked for my money back and he told me I was crazy and that he did not have to change his gloves. DO NOT EAT AT THIS BUSINESS!!

ok so i just ordered from new china on kirby rd for the very first time for myself and my two small boys and first of all by time the food got to me it was freakin cold second ut taste like freakin shit and i really mean it taste like 100% shit and will never eat at this chinese restaurant again. please everyone save your money and order from another chinese place that has a lot better food and knows how to deliver the food in something that will keep it hot and fresh until it gets to the customer i mean really that's just craziness is what it is.... come on people learn how to cook better.
