Lots of flavorful Chinese food options. All fresh. Clean. dining area. Smaller than most buffets but just as many serving islands. The wait staff was very prompt. But if you expect the recent addition of sushi offered in many buffets, you will find only a couple sparse although very good offering.

Food always fresh and hot as place stays busy. Yes, it was an old Shoneys Restaurant but it has a very large selection and prices are reasonable for the choices abs variety they have. Yes, could use update interior, but not an issue with me. Food is good.

Found this place purely by accident while driving through Shelbyville. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was polite and inviting. I had a great server who was aware of needed drink refills, etc. I will definitely eat here again and try more of a variety of their food.As you can see from my photos, my primary meat selection was chicken. I had a little of it all. The egg drop soup was very good. The sushi was also good but very limited in types. In the California Rolls, the avocado was beginning to turn a bit dark, but still had good flavor.I have been back twice since the first review and tasted more options from the buffet bar. Everything I've tasted is as good or better than I've had anywhere else on a buffet. The staff and service was excellent just as before. This is quickly becoming my "go to" Chinese Buffet

Yes, three stars... but it's NOT because of the food or the service... which both were great. Our server, Adriana, was exceptional. My dear friend and neighbor, who had treated me to a late lunch, was tickled to have been seated at one of her tables, so she was accustomed to having this lovely young lady provide the best service possible... with good (brief) conversations when applicable. The buffet was well stocked and had a good variety of things to choose from. The plates were the first ones I've ever seen that had a pattern on them... a welcome change from the bland, white/beige ones that are usually provided. The food was a nice, hot temperature, and the buffet area was kept nice and clean. I didn't take pictures of the buffet as I was trying to keep my distance from the other patrons. I got some fried rice, General Tso's Chicken, another type of spicy chicken with onions... and my all-time favorite addiction: fried cheese wontons. I give them a bazillion stars on those as I've never had wontons that were stuffed as full of cream cheese as theirs were! Yummmmmmmy!!! No crab in these, just the cheese. My friend got a plateful of all kinds of stuff... should've taken a picture but I got sidetracked. This is where the stars got deducted...I have a very sensitive nose, and an allergy to mold and mildew. I kept smelling the latter, and when my nose started running, I looked around for a source, then looked up. Wish I hadn't, as the multiple air vents in the ceiling were, well, disgusting. For a place that was so nice and clean *below*, it's a disaster *above*... and THAT is blowing down on people and everything else. As good as the food was and the service is, I unfortunately won't be going back. I cannot take a chance with my health. I'm glad they (for the most part) wore masks, as that will help them with inhaling mold spores. I worry about their lung health... and the fact that with the SARS-CoV-2 virus mutating into tougher and more contagious variations... that they may be more prone to getting sick, along with customers if someone is in there and has the virus and is asymptomatic. It's really worrisome... as airborne particles can cling to the mildew/mold. It's bad enough just for those of us with allergies. I'm typing this with a handkerchief next to me as it has my nose running nonstop. Anyway... what a shame. I really liked the food and the people. Take it out of that building and it's a full 5 stars... but the building itself due to health hazards gets a paltry ONE. Average that out and they get a three... On a lighter note: I had forgotten to bring my chopsticks, so I got a pack of theirs. So cute that they have instructions on how to use them! I was blessed to have Asian friends when I was a child to show me how, so this was interesting to see. (I actually bought a pair of "Jedi Light Saber" chopsticks... mega awesome... wonder what they'd think about THOSE?!?)
