My Favorite Place Mexican Bar and Grill

My friend came into towm, and this used to be a fan favorite but I havent been in a while. I read the reviews and was scared that it wasnt as good as a I thought. Boy, was I wrong. The drinks have not missed! The grilled margarita is still just as good and strong!!! I dont remember what we had to eat but there was no complaints with the kids or us.

Larger restaurant with your typical Mexican fare. Our server Eduardo was super friendly and nice. Refilled our chips and drinks as needed. We ordered a large cheese dip which was only $7.99, but it was kind of small compared to a large at other restaurants. The salsa was a little on the chunky side, but the flavor was nice.we had the steak quesadilla, steak chimichanga and the pollo fundido and everyone enjoyed their meal.

So many Mexican places in Memphis are all about tacos . Don't get me wrong. I love a good taco, but sometimes the urge hits first a plate of gooey Mexican food with straight up rice and refried beans. This place looks a bit run down from the outside, but it is clean and bright on the inside. We were greeted and seated quickly. I chose to have a grilled Margarita to drink. This is a really great Margarita finished with grilled orange slices. So good, and a bargain at $13. I just wished for a little more salt. My entree was a combo with a chili poblano, a bean enchilada and a tostada. It was all very enjoyable and the price was very reasonable. I believe we will return on a fairly regular basis.

Finally sat down and ate at (normally get it to go) one of my favorite Mexican restaurants! The service was amazing from the time I arrived until I left. The complimentary chips/salsa was spot on and the spice level perfect! I ordered the guacamole, that's made at your table, and the flavors were wonderful and fresh! For my main meal, I ordered off the lunch menu choose any three: 2 crispy shredded chicken tacos and 1 chicken enchilada w/red sauce. I added onions to my order and they do charge an extra $1.50 for ALL extra items. I always enjoy the food here so I was excited to finally sit down and eat. Will DEFINITELY return!

The name says it. This is now MY FAVORITE PLACE for Mexican and this is the real deal. It's family owned/operated with home-made chips, salsa, guacamole, refried beans (no pork), everything! If it couldn't be better, the service was exceptional. The flavors shine through as very fresh, NOT salty, and delicious. If you want more spice or salt, then there's a seasoning shaker on the table. They must've made adjustments since Donna's review since we were given 2-3 sturdy napkins each without asking when we sat down.We enjoyed the table-side guacamole, the white queso dip although it's a bit thin, the scrumptious salsa, the steak/chicken fajitas, and our absolute favorite, the chicken Fajita Pina (see pic). Oh, the refried beans, fresh avocado slices, and pico de gallo are not to be forgotten.We'll be back to try so many menu items that sound amazing: Carne Asada, Pollo con Queso (has spinach), Pollo con Primavera, the soups, and nachos. The attire is very casual and you can easily hear one another talking even on Saturday night.Update: Beef queso tacos were inhaled by our home eater. Impressed they gave chips, salsa, black beans, and rice on our to-go order. : )

The way they charched you for your receipt. they have hidden fees. double taxes and they make up other charges because of covid. that's long gone! food was ok just the fact that they add up your receipt. be careful and double check it before paying. I disputed my receipt and did my own math and they where not professional about it the waitress and cashier and some random person that works there where all against me all trying to say it was right with their fees. over all ended up paying like 40 dollars extra. SMH. will not be coming back!.

Traveling for work to Memphis. Got off I-40 and this is between my exit and my hotel. Have never been here before. Was driving so didn't even look at reviews. Food was good. Not great but good. Service (Jodi) was very good.Not the finest Mexican I've ever had but the service would bring me back again. Pacifico on draft helped after a long drive.

This did used to be my favorite place. This place has really gone downhill. New owners maybe? I don't know. But the food quality is crap. Normal fajitas, $20 - came out warm at best, plate should be sizzling. I could touch it - no problem. Hardy anything on it. I'm still not convinced this might have been someone's leftovers reheated in a microwave - dead serious. Margarita $15 - no tequila. I'm a former bartender, I know what it should taste like. Shitty service. Server forgot everything we asked for and was never around. Get it together, guys.

Ordered chimichanga for dinner. I thought the food is quite good. The refried beans that came with the plater is quite well made, way better than the usual refried beans at Mexican restaurants. Chimichanga is good, except it is a bit salty.

Food was filled with meet, but not hot. Prices are higher than identified on the menu, but we don't know the date of their menu. Specials identified in front of the restaurant were not observed. Web site is linked to a game or maybe a hack. Be careful
