Mulan Asian Bistro East

I went outside to clean the snow off of my car and had the sudden craving for some egg drop soup. I hadn't been to Mulan in a long time and thought, that would be a good place to go so now I'm on a mission. I arrived to a somewhat empty restaurant but due to the weather I was happy that they were open. I was warmly greeted and seated by friendly staff members and they made sure I was well taken care of. The restaurant is nicely decorated and they have a Bubble Tea Bar, with a huge variety of Bubble teas, Smoothies and other drinks. I ordered the Egg Drop Soup and one of the House Recommendations The Honey Chicken. My soup was good and steaming hot, to be fair it wasn't the best Egg Drop Soup I ever had but it was good. The Honey Chicken was cooked perfectly but a little too sweet with the sauce and pineapple but tasty, I did notice it didn't have any carrots as described on the menu . Next time I'll try the Mulan Shrimp maybe it won't be as sweet. Overall I had a great dining experience and will return to try something different.

My oh my was this some great Chinese cuisine! We ordered 2 combo platters and the bag was heavy, which means it was worth the money we paid for the amount of serving. I've never had New York Chinese food, but I would find this one comparable because I've never had such good Chinese food in California. This was as close as my luck got. For the main entree, my partner got the orange chicken and I got the sesame chicken. Both our meals came with soup of choice which we got vegetable soup with the sweetest perfect texture snow peas, broccoli, carrots, etc. You can choose spring roll or vegetable roll as well, and fried rice. I also got some shrimp rolls and a chicken roll. The shrimp rolls were amazing! I wish there was a sauce that came with it. Chicken roll, okay. I found the sesame chicken more flavorful than the orange chicken and my partner said his orange chicken was spicier on day 2 when he had left overs, keep that in mind if you don't like spicy. We both had enough to make it two meals. All in all, the total was bout 65$ for all this food. While we waited I saw a sign at the table that said if you spend $25 or more you get a free boba, I would've liked that but the cashier said we had to dine in. Wish the owner would've been a little more lenient with this policy since we waited inside for our food. I'll ding off half a point for that, nevertheless will be back to try a boba.

We grab lunch to go for work here every now and again. The food is always ready on time! I haven't had anything bad here. The wonton soup is great. The beef lo mein is great! The staff is nice. You can easily order online. I've never sat down in the restaurant so I can't comment to that. I recommend checking out Mulan for a good lunch!

Mulan has become one of my favorite spots to dine at when it comes to sushi. Out of their 3 locations, the East Memphis restaurant has been my go-to. Mulan offers reservations and walk-ins. During this visit, my guest and I did a walk-in and it took less than 2 min to be seated. The waitress knows me now because of my frequent visits and she is always pleasant when I see her. For starters, I ordered the crabmeat and cream cheese wontons. They always come out steaming hot. My sushi choice was the Alaskan roll filled with crab, cream cheese, and smoked salmon on top. I love a good roll with salmon. The shrimp fried rice was cooked to perfection and adding the soy sauce gave it the extra flavor it needed. The waitress constantly checked on us and asked if we needed anything. Mulan ambiance is quiet, I love the fact that you can't hear anyone else's conversation. It's never too loud. The parking lot is spacious so you don't have to worry about that. If you are looking for family time, catching up with friends, or alone time, Mulan is the place to be.

Mulan is never in the front of my brain because I don't eat a lot of Chinese and Chinese-adjacent food. And I've only had it for takeout so I can't speak to the dining in experience, but wow let me tell you the beef lo mein I recently got was great! It came in a plastic container but on top of that they put Saran Wrap all over it to trap in the heat I guess?! I dig that. Because it retained the temperature during the drive home. I also got veggie spring rolls which did not retain heat very well because they were placed in the little plastic baggy. Good taste, but the breading gets a little tough once it started getting cold. (So eat them before they get weary.)Oh and the girl at the counter was friendly when I picked my order up too. I couldn't tell you about anything else on the menu but maybe one day I'll try something different.Probably not. The beef lo mein is where I'm at.

Our server Erica was great. The food was delicious and generously portioned. The free bubble tea at the end was a pleasant treat.

Came during the weekend for lunch got the salt and pepper chicken (comes with white rice) and steamed dumplings. My waiter was really nice, he constantly refilled my water and gave me the recommendation to get the steam dumplings. The chicken was way hotter than I thought but really good with great flavor. I enjoyed the dumplings as well. I finished those quickly. Portion size was big enough to take some chicken home. Ambiance was great, I came by myself and was able to eat and watch a show peacefully.

We picked up from Mulan Asian bistro East (8:00) this evening, and it was great. The food was prepared when promised and once home, we all agreed that the food was prepared perfectly. My vegetable and chicken dinner with fried rice was very tasteful, and the veggies not over cooked. This order was very fresh, because when we opened it, there was plenty of steam emanating from it.Something I truly enjoy about Mulan is that they do not over spice their food, unless you request it that way. The quantities are generous, so we will have leftovers for tomorrow, which we love. If I have any complaints, it said their menu is so robust. It may be hard to make a choice. Great food!

This was a yummy place! Super quiet on a Monday night, very fast service. Portions were large and the food was fresh and flavorful. I would definitely return.
