Primarily a gas station and liquor store, but they have a grill. Really good breakfast. Don't grab from the pre-made. Do made to order. Biscuit, sausage, egg and cheese sandwich is really good. They usually do a daily lunch/dinner special that is also great.

As the radio ad reads "8 short minutes east of Paragould on Hwy 412 across the Kahlua colored waters of the St. Francis River in Cardwell, Missouri".Mr. T's is surprisingly. . . .surprising! If you live anywhere remotely close to this place on the Arkansas side, definitely worth that drive esp on a Sunday. I'll explain, Arkansas is a delightfully confusing patchwork of wet and dry counties, however even the wet counties don't allow Sunday sales. Enter our neighbor, the State of Missouri. To quote Wikipedia "alcohol laws of Missouri are among the most permissive in the United States. Missouri is known throughout the Midwest for its largely laissez-faire approach to alcohol regulation".Strange neighbors, but a welcome sight. Even better, this isn't some desperation depot of overpriced county line hooch. They carry a wide range of craft beers, high quality wines, Scotch, and top shelf liquors. Apparently they contract with distilleries to offer some award-winning seasonal private label bourbon.Employees are very friendly, helpful and know their stuff in every department. Regularly carry "gift packs" and hard to find items. The line moves quickly, a TJ Maxx style sign alerts you to the next open register to get you out the door. Approved!

Walked around MemphisTown for a good part of the day and then I had to drive to Jonesboro, Arkansas this fine hot Sunday. Temperatures were in the high nineties and I worked up a thirst that some friggin' slushee wasn't going to satisfy. When I arrived, I found out that Jonesboro is practically a dry town. On top of that, I found out that it is illegal to sell beer in Arkansas on Sunday.Well, F..k that S..T. I have a thirst for the hops and I'm gonna figure out how to get it, even if it means going back to Memphis. Looking at the map, I see Cardwell, Missouri is only twenty five miles away. I figure some some opportunistic entrepeneur will take adavantage of this and set up a money machine on the Missouri-Arkansas border.God Bless America! Right on the Missouri side of the bridge separating two states was a big old warehouse selling hootch. Mr T's Riverside Liquor store. The parking lot was crowded so there was a thirsty customer base there. Beer, Liquor and Junk Food, it's all there.Inside, there was people from all walks of life, from functional millionaire alcholics in three piece suits to raggity ass wino's. All bound together in harmony through the mutual need and love of alcohol. It was quite a treat watching people walking out the door clutching their precious packages of booze.I got my six pack of beer and went back to Jonesboro a happy camper. Arkansas blue laws, I spit on your grave.
