Was told by some locals that this is "the place" for 'que in Greenville. I had the rib tip plate for right at $11.00. Very nice lady working the counter. A bit slow but no too bad. The tips were cooked perfectly however each one had lots of bone and cartilage in them. The sauce was pretty mild and could have had a more Smokey taste. The baked beans were ok. Not bad but not the best I've eaten. The coleslaw had a cross between a dill pickle taste and mustard. Didn't really finish it and I do love good coleslaw. All in all definitely not the worst BBQ I've eaten but not the best. Would I go back? Not before I try out more of the places here in Greenville.

A very nice lady in the neighborhood helped us find Mr. J's. We had the bbq pork sandwich, corn on the cob and a corn muffin. The staff was super friendly and the food was great. We were in a bit of a hurry but they said the ribs were their best seller. Check it out if you are in Greenville.

The food here is awesome. I Love Mr. J and the staff is amazing. I love eating here on Sundays when I dont feel like cooking. Whenever people come into town I tell them to visit they will not be DISAPPOINTED. My favorite are the ribs they just fall off the bone and melt in you mouth. The money you spend is will worth it
