I've tried this donut shop several times, but I just can't ever get past the cold donuts. Fresh donuts aren't supposed to be cold. I usually get the basic chocolate covered and holes. What had me this recent visit that makes me not want to deal with them anymore was the bear claw. Every bear claw I've had at other donut shops have an apple filling. So they are similar to an Apple fritter. The bear claw at this place was totally dry in the middle with a THICK cinnamon paste. It felt as though I had eaten a spoonful of cinnamon. Whether a bear claw is supposed to have apple filling or not, this shop totally failed at their attempt at a bear claw.

I visited once prior to COVID thinking this was. Shipley's. I was disappointed to find it no longer was. I personally did not care for their glazed donuts. It tasted day old like a donut from your local grocery deli.

We were her on business from out of state and these are some of the best donuts we've ever had. Love that they use potato flour which makes them soft and fluffy. They're not overly sweet even with the glaze, fillings and toppings. If we're ever back here again we're most definitely coming back.

This place gives me a very nostalgic feel as a donut shop that I had gone to when I was a little kid. Besides them being a slight bit cold, the donuts were extremely tasty, and the workers are extremely friendly, and were delighted that I enjoyed their donuts. I had the donut holes, and the strawberry iced donuts. I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family and will definitely come again!

They are no where as good as Shipley's donuts...The creamed filled are nothing like what Shipley had. Mr. Donut is very skimpy on the cream filling...None of the donuts are very fresh...Really disappointed that they took over Shipley's and didn't live up to the quality Shipley's had...I am glad we know what they are like so we know never to get them when we have company.

This is the only Shipley in my area and I'm very disappointed. I just ordered 4 kolaches and a dozen donuts. I get home finally to see 4 wack breakfast sandwhiches and old donuts. I'm very disappointed in you!

I can't believe I'm doing it but this is my honest review. Anytime I go to a new donut shop, I have to try the original glaze; it's the foundation. Maybe because it was in the afternoon instead of morning timeframe, the donuts dried out, I don't know. Nonetheless, the assortment I got was just okay. My sister and I tried the original glaze, vanilla and blueberry cake donuts, along with chocolate iced and maple glazed. We were disappointed. However, on the bright side, the customer service was excellent. Maybe I'm spoiled from Gibson and Howard donuts in Memphis, TN, along with Voodoo donuts (Denver) and Randy donuts (Los Angeles). But I tend to know a good donut when I taste it. I may come back in the near future but for right now, this is my score.

The sign should say Shipley's "sickeningly sweet but super delicious" Donuts. These are some of the sweetest donuts I've ever had. It's probably not good idea to eat here if you have diabetes. Or, if you're on the cusp of getting diabetes, this may put you over the edge. However, you're only going to live so long anyway ... I'd recommend the blueberry and the cinnamon roll. The guys I was with loved the cream filled donut. Not sure what the "Do - Nut" was (afraid to ask), but you really can't go wrong with the donuts.

as a doughnut connoisseur of some renown, i can personally vouch for the tastiness of Mr. Donut. been going here for several years. it's a great doughnut shop! tasty, fresh, and a good selection. employees are friendly and display that fine southern trait...hospitality. roll these up together and deep fry them and you have a really great shop. their tamales are also quite good, as are their breakfast sandwiches. skip the bland yankee-beloved dunkin and get you some real doughnuts.

Donuts were ok, but nothing above average. "Kolaches" were mostly breakfast sandwiches on a biscuit???? The hot sausage and cheese was a true kolache, and very delicious. Disappointed by the biscuit versions. I stopped by on a road trip and would not go out of my way to come here again.
