Mortimer's Restaurant

Went to Mortimers for lunch today with a party of 10. We sat in the party room. It was very nice and pretty private for all of us since we tend to get pretty rambunctious and loud. Totally forgot to let my camera "eat first". Hahhaha! Our waitress was very nice. She was able to take all of our orders and deliver them with some help from her team. The restaurant is a Memphis staple that has been around for a very long time. This was my first time dining there. When you walk into the restaurant, the bar is at the front. There are many tables and chairs in the restaurant. The decor reminds me of a bar and a local neighborhood eatery. Nothing real fancy but fits many people. The tables and chairs are kind of worn but are adequate. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant was really busy which is a good sign. I imagine there are regular customers each day. They have a variety of lunch specials each day. I love the many choices of sides and the menu is quite extensive. I ordered fried catfish with black-eyed peas and pickled beets. We were served corn sticks with butter before our meal. I had coffee and water to drink. Everything was delish!! My friends ordered burgers, beef stroganoff, chicken salad, soup, a Mahi Mahi sandwich, and veggie plate. Our food was tasty. They are open for dinner as well. I will come back to try more options on the menu.

We must have gone on an off night. The food just didn't have a good flavor to it. The marinade tasted water down.

My friends and I went for a quick bite at Mortimer's for dinner and it did not disappoint. The prime rib was very good and delicious. We all loved it along the sides got some: green beans, rice and beans, garden salad, baked potato and Italian spinach altogether. Service was great and our waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently. We were the first ones there so it was nice and quiet. Restaurant got full but it was time for us to go (perfect timing). Thank you for a nice dining experience!!!

Great little quick bite. For was solid, drink was solid, service was solid. It was a quick bite but enjoyable!

Mortimers has been around a long time, and I have eaten here many times throughout the years. The food is consistently delicious in my experience. The fried mushrooms, poboys, and the Chicken Beauregard is decadent and so yummy. A singer was here while we ate. She was very talented, and made the experience that much more special. The wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive. Great neighborhood restaurant for a date or for catching up with friends.

Thought we'd give it try. Staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. Server friendly, professional and efficient. Good. Onion RingsRollsFoodSeafood very average. Potato well done but too much butter. It appears to have a loyal following. Live music at 6:30. Decor out of 1980s.

Went to lunch here and food and service was really good. I had the meatloaf and vegetables. Forgot to snap a pic. The meatloaf had some spinach in it which I really couldn't taste but it was very good and I would order it again!

Casual dining with established ambiance! Seafood options and more. Try the gumbo- it's mild and loaded with okra, shrimp, and polish sausage. Servers are friendly! Love the brick floors! BEST BANANA PUDDING IN TOWN!!

Always a go to for lunch and dinner. Sit at the bar when Mark is working chicken salad is delicious (when in season)

Food and service were on point! Will definitely be back. Best French dip sandwich I've ever had.
