Momoya

Service was attentive, kind, and fast. They were tolerant of our two young kids and the 4 kids at the table next to us. The ambiance is kind of like old school something with no one working/no fish at the visible sushi bar. There was a big silent TV next to our informal table that I would have preferred not been there and a soda machine also visible from the same seat. Some elevator music playing? On the way to the bathroom were some cool looking big party tables with stained glass and art (see photos!). Seems like the building has character. Food was just not very good. We got:-miso soup - way too salty -house salad - dressing was too sweet, tasted like it came from a bottle rather than house-made -spicy rainbow roll - rice was not quite normal sushi rice, like a little too wet and warm? It was a meh roll. The description I think also said only spicy Mayo on top but it had hot sauce on top too. -salmon sashimi - tasty! Nice tasting fish, appropriately cut. This was the best thing I ordered.-seaweed salad - actually quite good -hot honey boneless wings - my husband said they were spicier than expected, but tender, flavorful, appropriately crispily fried Kids got: miso soup (they didn't mind the salt), salmon, tuna, and yellowtail nigiri (they gave the thumbs up), and salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and cucumber maki (they accommodated us by putting seaweed on the outside of the rolls and the kids said they were good). Don't think I would come back. But this was good for a quick bite when my kids couldn't wait for a table at Majestic Grille nextdoor.

This place hasn't been updated in 15 years. Gross. Rubbery chicken tenders. Janky. I need 88 more characters to post this review.

It's downtown so....there's that on parking. It really depends on day and time. This was another establishment which I cannot currently recall. Service was decent, nothing exemplary. Chicken was reminicenst of Red Hook and 1.5x more expensive at least. I'm perplexed. Complex menu in a good way that you can have sushi, fried rice, wings, fries, and edamame in the same meal. It may be worth a shot, but given the price, bland flavor, and location..I'm good. I don't regret the experience, but don't need a second round. The ambiance is kind of all other the place given the decor and patrons.

Service was good - food was terrible. Salty, greasy, and shrimp were brunt. Have been here twice as both times it was not good. Won't be a third time.

Less than average food. Poorly lit empty restaurant with a broken door. Raw onions on a grilled philly. Zero seasoning. None. No butter. No salt. No pepper.

Right when we entered the vibe was calm and fun, we were met by a nice waiter who assisted us. The drinks were amazing all of them were not too sugary or too sour the lemonade is an amazing one. Not to mention the appetizers and the food, Hands down the best food I have had in 6 years. It was fast, delicious, and we met the owner and he was SUPER nice we had an amazing time talking to him! The music was good and there was a certain room he let me see it looked just like the seats in Korea it was amazing. An amazing place to have fun, eat amazing food, and chat!

Their chicken wings are very nice and decently pricedI can't speak to the sushi quality but it doesn't seem to common amongst customers

Ordered food at 9, said it would be ready at 9:25. Got a text that it was ready and we go to pick it up but all my boyfriend got was that "they were closed" and "had no food" Never been here before but don't order online because you might have to deal with getting your money back somehow.

Start with the food, I ordered the Volcano Roll (pictured) this was weak presentation and quality, ordered the Soba chicken and shrimp, the noodles are not soba just regular spaghetti noodles, chicken, shrimp frozen trash . Quality terrible, prices is excellent 15$ for the role and 18+ for the soba . If you want Chinese/ Japanese try a different place. The little Indian girl was nice. Should've been my first warning

The service is good and the food is really great! Come to Momoya for a peaceful experience with great Asian food.
