I recently visited Molly's La Casita for my goddaughter's 16th birthday, and it was the perfect spot for such a special occasion! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was lively and festive, setting the stage for a memorable celebration.Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that all our orders were taken care of flawlessly, despite the variety of dishes we had. I couldn't resist starting off with their top-shelf margarita, which was a delightful half-and-half--half on the rocks and half frozen. It was absolutely delicious!Though I wasn't particularly hungry, I opted for the Mexican chicken. While it was a bit salty for my taste, my godson absolutely loved it and finished every bite! The presentation of everyone else's dishes looked fantastic, and everyone seemed happy and satisfied with their meals.Molly's La Fiesta is definitely a Memphis staple that I look forward to revisiting when I have a bigger appetite. I want to explore more of the menu! Overall, the combination of great service, a fun atmosphere, and appetizing food made for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it for any celebration!

Slop. Pure and simple slop. We were so disappointed as my father in law loved to come here 20 years ago (it's been around 38 years!) and he would order his steak "far-heat-taa's". Our waiter was nice, and attentive. They bring salsa and chips to your table, but the salsa was chunky and had no heat. The queso was way too thick. My husband liked his shrimp fajita, but they didn't have any fresh jalapeños in the kitchen. My vegetarian combo plate was just thrown together with overcooked food, no thoughtfulness or care. Who is managing this place? We left and noticed their dying plants in the window and sighed how dad would be let down.

My family and I have been coming to Molly's for at least 40 years, and I am so happy to see how much better everything seems to be going. The new (to me at least) patio, the parking lot repairs, and the overall decor refresh are just a few examples of the owner's dedication this Memphis culinary staple. If you haven't been recently it's definitely worth going back and if you've never been it's a must try.Congratulations to both the owners and staff!

Went to lunch. Got a table. Ordered food. Half of us got our food. The other half got no food. Waiter was not the sharpest tool in the shed. He said he had a long day. He looked liked he did. Anyway, I would not go there if you really wanted to eat. Probably not your best decision.Oh and so you know. Even though we had worse than bad service I was charged %20 gratuity. So if you want to then you should check it out. But... you won't get me again.

Went for lunch today with a group of friends. The restaurant itself was clean and had lovely decorations. There is outdoor seating that is newish I think. This was my first time eating there. There is parking on the street and in the back of the establishment. The service was okay. Not stellar. Our waitress was patient as there was a large party of 12-13 people. I called ahead yesterday to give them a heads up that there would be a large party. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication and the lunch staff was not informed of our reservation. Felt bad for her since she didn't know we were coming and they were short staffed. The chips and salsa were very good. I ate a bunch. I like tortilla chips a lot! I ordered a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. My chicken looked like can shredded chicken. It had a lot of oil in it and was quite spicy. I didn't like it as I only ate maybe a third. Kind of pricey at 8.00 and it was not very good. Guess I needed to order something else. Another friend ordered a salad. The lettuce was not fresh and it had too much guacamole for her. This is my opinion so I believe people should try places to see what they may enjoy. I might come back and I might not. Perhaps Mexican food is not my fav which is okay.

Nothing short of flavorful, authentic Mexican food. The salsa is delicious and everything on the menu was incredible. The mole sauce is super authentic and tasty. The shrimp a la cream was a great balance of spice and flavor. To take the cake was the half frozen / half rocks margaritas. Genius!

I'm from Arizona so I am really picky about Mexican food. My husband and I did a quick drink date so we ordered chips and salsa and two jalapeño margaritas. The margaritas were really good, just enough sweetness and strength but also a good kick from the jalepenos. The ambiance was cute, typical Mexican casita look, the tables were kind of old, they could be upgraded. The service was good, but the server seemed flat lacking personality but we did get our items in a timely manner. Probably wouldn't come back, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary special. I wasn't very impressed with the menu either, seemed like regular Mexican food you can get anywhere, so we weren't inclined to order anything else. I gave this business 4 stars because it was clean, we were served on time and our drinks were good.

I have been a fan of Molly's for many years. I hadn't been in quite a while but after reviewing the online menu for vegan options , we headed that direction. It should have been a sign that the place was less than a third full. We realized that the menu did not match what was online. We inquired the vegan options and they said they were out. No worries, I can adapt and we ordered vegetarian. One of the servers was training and it's understandable that it took a minute to take down our order. It took quite a while before it was delivered to the table. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas with a side of black beans. The vegetables were oddly flavorless and the beans were just odd tasting. I realized that both were swimming in grease and it was just unappetizing. Wait staff never checked to see how we were doing,refill drinks and then added 20% gratuity. My husband related our dissatisfaction of the food to the staff that was doing the training and suggested she let management know. We never saw either of the wait staff again. Sadly it is a Memphis institution that we will be marking off the list
