Reviewers have stated " looks like a hole in the wall" and that's simply because it is! On the outside, this place could hardly be more rundown. Also the buildings surrounding it are all empty and abandoned. Very sketchy surroundings.The inside is clean and small with very little ambience. It appears most folks come here for carry out.I dined in and for lunch ordered a half pulled pork and half sausage combination platter with a side of potato salad and baked beans.The sausage was sliced and slightly chard on the grill, overall pretty good. The pulled pork was nothing special, nor was their barbecue sauce. The potato salad was overwhelmingly crazy with mustard, and the baked beans, aside from the bits of pork in them, had to be simple, canned beans.Food was served fairly quick. IMO this is definitely not a noteworthy spot for a BBQ foodie.

Great small town BBQ. Very reasonable prices and they have lunch specials. If you're a local or passing though, it's worth the stop.

Had a pork sandwich and fries and was quite pleased. Pork was tender and the fries were crispy outside and tender inside. Sweet tea as good as you can get in Texas. The girl that waited on us was so nice and helpful You know a place is good when the local police eat there! I will definitely be back on my next trip thru Forest City.

Great tasting pulled pork! Well worth the drive from 40. Fast and friendly service. Very clean establishment with simple necessities keeps the flavor of the food foremost. Highly recommended.

Im no too sure about bbq but def best chicken strips in town as long as they don't over fry them. They are so juicy and very well seasoned!

Stopped here while on a road trip. Everyone was very nice and the food was great! It is also close to the highway, so we didn't have to go too far out of the way.

It was a very interesting local spot... the place was questionable outside but inside was better. It was small and clean. My confidence grew with this selection as I watched the constant flow of traffic picking up orders to go and the drive thru was jumping too. My family and I had catfish (really good but very small filets) it appeared to be a regular filet that was cut again and called 2 pieces... so don't be afraid to order a 4 piece because in reality it's 2 piece at other places. The very best thing on the table was the RIBS... You must try those... we got the last slab, so I think they are cooked daily and go fast. I would definitely recommend and I plan to go back! Enjoy!!!

We were on our way home from Nashville heading back to Houston and we were hungry and craving some pulled pork sandwiches. We googled it and found this place. It doesn't disappoint. The place had its charm. I felt very safe because the local law enforcement officers were eating there. Food was hot fresh and the sandwich was a perfect blend of burnt ends and tender meat not overly saucy because good bbq stands on its own. The unsweetened tea was fresh and refreshing. We ate in the parking lot in the car because we had our dogs with us. If we roll back through those parts of the country we would definitely eat there again. I'm so glad we took that detour to eat amazing quality food. Well worth it.

Looks like a hole in the wall the food is absolutely excellent. Very courteous servers. We'll go there again next time I'm in Forrest city.
