Mike Wilson’s Steakhouse & BBQ

VibeThis is more of a casual restaurant where you won't feel out of place wearing shorts. We were seated immediately upon arrival. The server was very friendly and prompt. Food:I tried the medallions with fried okra. They were cooked as requested and was seasoned well. The medallions were wrapped in bacon, which was like icing on the cake. I thoroughly enjoyed this selection and didn't leave any behind! My husband tried the smoked chicken half. It was also seasoned well and was very tender. He was pleased with that selection as well. We decided to go for dessert which was the chocolate molten lava cake...delicious!! The cook came out and stopped by each table to check in on guests to ensure their satisfaction. Overall, I was pleased with this restaurant. The food was good, the service was fast and the location worked well for us.

This place is ridiculously expensive and the quality of the food is ok at best. I wish them luck but a paper thin ribeye steak shouldn't cost $40. Way over seasoned and extremely salty. Restaurant was dead on a Saturday night. Now I know why. Wish them all the best but I don't think we'll be back.

We went with a group of 8 and most everyone got the Ribeye Special. The steaks are thin but surprisingly tasty and tender! My wife got the chicken tenders and they were delicious as well! Everyone tried different sides and the asparagus, baked potato, and corn was raved about by each person! Our server was pleasant and energetic and professional...my only suggestion had she suggested a glass of wine, an appetizer, and a dessert we would have all gone for it! After dinner we all said we wish we had tried those items so it would have been an easy sell! Some of the renovations have elevated it and as they take off maybe a nice wood looking flooring (LVP), better chairs, and maybe white table cloths could bring it up to a nice steakhouse vibe...but that might not be what they're going for!

Atmosphere is very cafeteria-ish with sad prison grey walls, tile flooring. They have added some wood trim but it just doesn't seem like a steakhouse feel- it's somewhat loud inside. It's okay but thought I'd mention it. Our bbq nachos sauce tasted very tomato-y, But okay. Royal red shrimp were way over cooked. The salad is a premade bad salad with the thin dry carrot sticks and purple cabbage, two cherry tomatoes and some onion slices. No cheese or croutons. My meal of grilled redfish, asparagus and cream sauce was a travesty. The over cooked redfish was SO over seasoned. Wow. I have no clue what they put on the asparagus, but it was so oily and so over seasoned. I was looking for something healthy and this was the only item on the menu that seemed it would be. The cream sauce was weird oily, and I'm not sure what it had bits of in it. Overall I'm sad I went here.

Service was good, the waiter was attentive, came and checked on us a couple of times and refilled drinks. But the food was just not good. 6 oz steak was cooked as ordered, but the food was just too salty. Literally all you could taste was salt.

The spices that are on the steak are overwhelming, too strong. Ruined my ribeye. Did not have someone check to see if we might need so else.

The ribeye steak break was enjoyable. The steak was juicy and cooked to perfection paired with the fried apples. What a way to do Sunday brunch

I believe this is the first time I've ever reviewed a place and I use Yelp everyday and have for years. Grilled fish was terrible; soggy and tasted like a salt block. Had to used all the napkins to soak up grease. Coleslaw was bland. Salad is iceberg with cheese... pathetic. Waitress was really nice and took care of me, otherwise I would give this place a zero if I could. Waaaay overpriced for what it is. Save your money and go next door to DQ or something. At least you'll know what you'll get. I saw it was expensive and went anyway because I wanted great food. Boy was I wrong.

Wait staff has great customer service skillsFood cooked to perfection. Wait time little longer than expected due to restaurant being full but wait time was worth the wait. Met the owners and they have a compassion for the business and food service being correct the first and it shows in the wait staff training from them. Owners very genuine good hearted and humble people. Take a Friday or Saturday night and come enjoy a dinner with your family you will not be disappointed!!!

Steaks were delicious and sides were too! Service was wonderful. Would definitely eat here again!
