Midway Diner

Figured we would try here again. Been here for 40 minutes and still haven't got our breakfast. Service is painfully slow. Doesn't matter if the food is good or not, 40 minutes for French toast and an omelette is ridiculous (and I'm still waiting). Will eat if it ever gets here, but don't recommend coming here unless you have a whole morning to waste wasting for your food. Gave them one star because I had to and they don't even deserve that. 50 minutes in and was just told that our food is third in line. They really need to learn how to provide the proper service!!!!! Who makes French toast by putting bread on a cracked egg without scrambling it?? They do here. This was absolutely the worst breakfast experience I have ever had!!

If they allowed me to give zero stars I would. Loved this place for years and ate there often. Unfortunately, it is under new ownership and has been permanently removed from our list of places to eat. Went in and no one even spoke to us. Finally took a seat on our own, wiped off our own table and waited. Never even had anyone come over. Everyone appeared to be too busy arguing in the kitchen. Finally we just got up after about 10 minutes and left!!

This business has changed hands but has been a consistent winner with their old-fashioned country breakfasts and delicious biscuits. Service is also old-fashioned, polite and straightforward. Mainly stop by for breakfast and am planning to stop by for lunch as the daily specials look appetizing.For a delicious to-go breakfast, I think their Pork Tenderloin biscuits can't be beat. Call ahead and they'll have it ready for you when you arrive.

This is by far the friendliest little diner I've been to in years. This little hidden gem is a small restaurant with a decent menu. I had two eggs with biscuits and gravy, and sausage. My wife had the chicken biscuit sandwich. It was very good. I had the pork medallions, with a side pinto beans and onions and a side of turnip green. My wife had a hamburger and fries. All the food was great. Most lunch items come with two sides and a drink. Prices are beyond fair for the value. Definitely a favorite place for me now. Way to go!!!

Service SuperiorFood SuperiorThis is your typical southern greasy spoon! A yummy place to have breakfast and spend some time with the people of the town. I loved coming in several times and seeing the same people! This to me, means, this is the place where the town loves to hang out and dine. I heard several conversations about farming, government, schools (home school), and other topics. The witness was awesome! The food was very yummy, so I came back 5 times.

Great food hot and fresh and service is excellent, very welcoming, a bit of a distance from home but worth the drive. Also love that they open early 5:30 AM.

This lovely place just reopened under new management and I couldn't be more impressed it was a small town feel with amazing food and the waitress even though she was on her own made sure our service and food was great and came out fast and hot. Also that smiling bubbly lady waitress Katie made the experience even more amazing!!! Definitely worth going back and will be a regular visitor there!!!

We love a good, local diner and this place didn't disappoint. Michelle was an awesome waitress and took our food orders quickly. The food was also delivered quickly. What a great value for your money! The portion sizes were really good and so was the food. It was nothing fancy--normal breakfast fare--but lots of choices and again, very economical. The biscuits were SO flaky! We stopped on our way from Nashville to Jack Daniel's and are glad we did.

Exactly what you want it to be....really good and tasty country cookin in a quirky down home diner.
