Mid-South Food Truck Festival

Ahhh my new favorite festival!!! I know this was just the first year, but with a turnout like that, this is sure to get better and better. With 43 food trucks and vendors, Tiger Lane was absolutely hopping and I was lucky enough to be a judge...which means I got to eat EIGHT different dishes from competing food trucks...and it was extremely difficult to choose a winner because they were all incredibly delicious. (Spoiler alert: The Meltdown from St. Louis won with their grilled cheese!)The festival benefited Literacy Mid-South and attendees could come for FREE. The only thing that cost anything was food (duh) and $10 for VIP parking. I did a couple of laps and was continually impressed with how many new MEMPHIS food trucks there are - and they are yummy (seriously, before this weekend, I only knew of three)! Food trucks might just be my new addiction.Word to the wise: Get here early before the lines get too long and they run out of food.
