I used to live in LA, and frequented many Mexican restaurant there. So when I moved to Centerville, far from Mexico, and saw there was a Mexican restaurant located here, I did not expect much. Especially since it was tucked away in a strip mall next to a Save A Lot and a Snappy's Pizza. Boy was I surprised! My first order was the Molcajeta served in a Lava Bowl bubbling hot. Enough food in one order to fill 4 people. And it was delicious! Best I've ever had. Served either mild, medium or hot. Later I ordered the Fajitas. One small order is more than enough for two hungry people. And they serve Mexican and American beer on draft by the pitcher or glass. Their Margaritas are the best, and weekdays it's 2 for 1. I have no idea why this restaurant does not have five stars across the board. What does "greedy on portion size" even mean, as one reviewer wrote? I have no idea, but if it means portions are very large, and the price very reasonable, bingo! Recommend!

Used this place to cater an event for one of my doctors offices. They did an amazing job! The food was wonderful and so was the service. They had everything prepared and ready for me exactly when I specified.I ordered the chili verde for myself and it was amazing! I will definitely use them again for catering or eat here again when I'm in the area

Very greedy on portion size.Don't expect much on lunch menu.Go ahead and order dinner.I found that out after I left and had a bday party to feed.So embarrassing.Another Mexican restaurant checked off my list.Everything was really hot and spicy.Everyone doesn't like spicy.Just a heads up if you have stomach issues.

This restaurant is recommended by the hotel across the road where I am staying...so why not give them a try.It is a real stormy night but they have quite a few patrons enjoying dinner tonight. Thats a good sign...!!!Seated promptly, ordered an ice tea to start as I reviewed the menu. Quite a few choices, but I settled on the chicken tortilla soup, and the cheese rellanos. Soup arrived first, hot & steamy...and with a side of avacado...excellent flavors.The rellanos were also good...arrived very hot...becareful, the melting cheese can scald the tastebuds instantly. Very tasty.This restaurant has the appearance to be family owned...give these guys a try. Excellent service, excellent food...and at a great price. I'll be back, maybe tomorrow night...see you here...!!!

Delicious. Affordable and huge portions. So glad Mi Cosina is in Centerville!! I've tried several things on the menu- including the shrimp salad, taco salad and fajitas. So far, Most entrees serve one to two people. Staff is friendly and responsive. Atmosphere is clean and nicely out together.

the guy at the register snatched my card out of my hand while I was transferring money from my savings to cash balance and was extremely rude

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, not the make-believe Mexican food in Hohenwald you have found your place. I'll eat Mexican food all around the country all the way from the tip of Florida to mid Texas in California. Certainly a 10 out of 10.!! won't break the bank!

Not impressed. Run of the meal Mexican food. Service ok and typical Mexican ambiance.

Mi Cocina has awesome Mexican cuisine. The employees are the best. Just like family. We love brain blast trivia on Tuesday nights At 7:00!
