Meo Mio's Sportsman Grill

This is our 3rd time here and the food is absolutely amazing. We were here for our sons College Bass Fishing tou1st night we had burgers and they were amazing hand patties stacked 2 high! 2nd night we just came for happy hour and had a few beers and the best spinach dip I've ever had. 3rd night I had shrimp & grits and the rest had the gumbo. I just came from Key west and ate shrimp & grits twice down there. This was better than any shrimp & grits I've ever had! The salads were fresh, thegumbo was good too! Beer was ice cold and service was great! The staff here is so fun, friendly & welcoming.

Gave this place another chance and yet again they failed. Walked in and waited to be seated and no one showed up

What a hidden gem!!! This place serves fantastic food. My favorite is the schnitzel but gumbo is incredible too. Nicely decorated and big portions.

The first time we went here we were blown away! Amazing food snd service! However our second time around was a totally different case. We arrived to see a sign on the door that said "please be patient, understaffed". Truth be told we should have left then but we pressed on knowing how good the food would be. We waited 45 min for food and were 5 minutes from walking out when our waitress arrived with the saving grace tray. What I received was not at all shrimp and grits. It was a hybrid of soup and shrimp that I was unaware that I ordered. Being inedible we had to ask to have it taken off the ticket. My moms "po boy" had 4 shrimp... total. Needless to say we won't be back. You can sacrifice on workers or you can sacrifice on food but when it's both... you'll find me at the competitor next door.

so me and my husband stopped by a week ago and didn't have the best experience our waitress was young, cussed a lot and wild, the bartender had no idea how to make drinks correctly and was really slow at getting them out so we just stuck to bottle beer, however we enjoyed the gator so we decided to give it another shot Saturday and needless to say our group was IMPRESSED, our server was Amy, sweet and attentive, made us laugh, food was amazing, the bartender this time, we did not get her name but people was excited to see her there so she must have worked there before, she made the best drinks we have had on this side of KY/TN. And super quick, We already can not wait to go visit again and stop by and get a good drink and food!!

Horrid. Apparently the food used to be good here under the old ownership. I was with a party of 5 and the only thing that was good was the catfish, which isn't even on the menu--we had to ask for it. Catfish should be a menu staple at a river restaurant. My fish and chips was $13 and inedible. The fish came out as greasy squares that were so hard they had to be cut with a knife. The batter was hard on the outside and mushy on the inside. The $6 fish and chips at Captain D's is far better than this. The bread was fried and all you could taste was the oil. The gumbo was cooked in a broth, not a roux. I ordered the seafood gumbo and got a cup full of sausage and chicken with a few shrimp thrown in. The French fries were good and the waitress (from NY) was delightful.

Last experience was mixed. Food was great; Service was crappy. After a year, wife and I decided to try Meo Mio's again. Once again, terrible experence. showed up and seated before 6pm. For those familiar with layout, only two other couples in main room when we were seated. Placed order which included drinks, appetizer, and meal. This experience started great, however, turned terrible after nearly a hour waiting on food. Mean while, room filled with other customers. At least 5 tables seated after us and served their orders which were similar orders to ours. Multiple employees passed by our table. Yet none seemed to care or be concerned that we still had not been served. Will not be making the trip back to Meo Mio's. Left and went to Paris DQ which took our order, served our food, and treated use with great respect.

Really awesome restaurant. Nice atmosphere, perfect service, and excellent food. Have been here twice and I have no complaints.
