Came in on a busy Thursday night 4/25/24, about a week after their grand opening. Nice to see a new tiki spot open in Memphis while we were visiting from Vegas for the first time! Mary's is a cozy little spot, I'm not a local and am not familiar with the Midtown area, but it looks safer than most places in Hollywood, Ca. We felt safe enough to park and leave our rental car on one of the side streets since the parking lot that is adjoining the bar was completely full (it's only big enough for about 8 cars). We had to wait about 10 minutes to sit at a booth, since all the booths and chairs at the bar were occupied. You have to order at the bar, and then they will bring the drinks to you. We ordered a Painkiller and a Mai Tai for our first drinks. The Painkiller was creamy and delicious, and the Mai Tai tasted just as it should, how Trader Vic made it...balanced tropical perfection!Second round was the Cobra's Fang and a Planter's Punch. The Cobra's Fang was like a delicious overproof cobra just bit you, and the Planter's Punch tasted like an adult Hawaiian Punch. We wanted to try more drinks on the menu, but you know how strong they can be and they be sneaky!!! Two is pushing it, and three is too many.Overall, this is a really cool place that feels just a little tiki. It's marketed a "tropical escape", so it doesn't claim to be a tiki bar. I appreciate the strictly instrumental background music...to me, I think the music really adds to the escapism. The ambiance is great, I would love to see some options to purchase some take home tiki mug options with Mary's B.O.T.E name on them. Come here and help them out! We don't need another tiki-ish bar closing. Tiki is what you want it to be, and to me it's about having a good time in cool looking places...

What a great hidden gem! The drinks were all made perfectly and delicious. The syrups in the drinks taste hand crafted and fresh, the atmosphere was welcoming and fun and the bartenders were so friendly and fun to chat with. We had Mary's BOTE, Mary's Grog, Blue Hawaiian, Cobra's Fang, Bali Hai, Missionary's Downfall, Jungle Bird, Mai Tai and the N/Avy Grog (non alcoholic) and Monkey Business (a crazy fun shot)- all the drinks were spot on and delicious. Not too sweet, not too tart, and the Non Alc. was the best I've ever had. It didn't taste like just "juice" it tasted like an actual drink without the buzz. Lily and Drew are amazing! Lily makes amazing drinks and Drew can make a darn good pizza. I wish them so much success, it's a great addition to the neighborhood.

I only had drinks and popped in randomly. Intimate space and tropical vibe/ambiance to include the patio. The place is 21 and up. I was greeted upon entry regarding ID and was patiently attended to by the bartender. It was first time visiting and I tend to ask a lot of questions being a licensed bartender myself. The restroom and bartop were pristine. The only knock that could be is parking, but that's more reflective of the area's popularity. I'll definitely be back to try more cocktails! Get the El Diablo!!

What a fun experience and atmosphere! The drinks were incredible. I got the piña colada. I know that sounds boring, but I just love them! And they did it so well. My friend got the mystery drink with all kinds of different rums and they set it on fire! So performance art meets beverage. She loved it, but could only have one. I highly recommend this place. I could see it being a neighborhood bar; somewhere you frequent. Or somewhere you just stop by for a little escape from the deep heat in Memphis. It feels like you're on vacation. I loved it and will probably be back multiple times.

Super cute bar the music is A+! I do not drink alcohol so I really appreciate the Nonalcoholic menu. The "snacks" menu is slim but they don't have a kitchen so they make personal pizzas and egg rolls in their toaster oven.m which were decent snacks. Would definitely some back

Great bar with great ambiance. The drinks are perfectly balanced... not all tiki drinks are sweet, y'all! Multiple NA options so you can bring all your friends, not just the boozers. There's a small parking lot plus street parking is easy to find if the lot is full. We experienced great service with kind bartenders! Will absolutely be returning asap.
