Marias Mexican Restaurant

First time here! Gotta say this place is impressive for small town in Tennessee! Had the bacon steak tacos! Good lord these were so simple yet so delicious! Do yourself a favor! Come here, eat and enjoy! In health and happiness- Cheers!!

We thoroughly enjoy eating at Maria's Mexican Restaurant! The food is always delicious and the staff is fantastic!

The food is really good and the service is always top notch! Micah and Danny are two of the best there however all the servers are great!

EXCELLENT!!! Had the red pasole & wife had green pasole. Both were delicious but the red was the best!

If you truly love real Mexican food, you will love Maria's. This is one of those hidden gems of a restaurant you would never think to find in rural Tennessee. A man from Mexico marries an terrific lady from this area. They move here, and we get awesome food. Everyone in the area knows about Maria's and won't eat Mexican food anywhere else!!!The gentleman who opened this awesome restaurant, is actually from Mexico. He learned to cook from his mother and grandmother. HE PAID ATTENTION!!!We have never had a bad meal here and seriously doubt it will ever happen. The owners made sure the staff learned the proper way to prepare and cook each item on the menu. If you have never enjoyed what real Mexican home cooking is really all about, then get your butt in here and leave happy!!!

Everything there is amazing! I highly recommend the green spaghetti with chicken and the Aztec soup with Ruben vegetables and chicken! So yummy!

We really wanted BBQ. We were in Tennessee moving our son from Illinois and thought ... "when in Rome ". But, apparently there are no good BBQ places near here???? Really???Okay then...Mexican is what is popular so we'll go with it.It was busy ( usually a good sign)They serve Margaritas in many flavors... I chose frozen watermelon but tasted no watermelonesque flavor. It was strong tho so I didn't care.They have an extensive food menu. I chose the molcajete. Very tasty, with tender chicken and steak, cactus, onions,cheese, and avocado in a tasty sauce. Its served with tortillas. I do wish it was served with rice and beans. It stayed piping hot in the molcajete so that was good.Everyone else enjoyed their meals. The chips and salsa were very good as well.Service was good...but the waitress had a strange personality.Overall very good at a reasonable price.

It was practically empty! Which should have been my first indicator!!!!! It was my first time but maybe the last. Okay so I ordered the fajitas. They tasted good but messed my stomach up for sure. And it was odd given it was steak ones and never had my stomach upset like that. The queso dip tasted like they mixed it straight from powder. It didn't taste like queso. It tasted like the back of someone's pantry. Nothing was fresh except the chips and dip. The chips and salsa was amazing. If you don't like lime and pico de gallo then it's not for you. I on the other hand loved the flavor. The staff were super sweet and friendly tho

The service was non existent. Several employees were standing at the bar area when we walked in they turned and looked and resumed their conversation. We finally seated ourselves after a few minutes and a server did fling some menus and silverware on the table without greeting us or even saying a word. We decided that if that how the initial service was we weren't going to stick around and see how bad it got from there. We've been there before and the food is excellent but unfortunately we won't be returning.
